My first game was Sapphire. I had so much memories of it. Good and bad times, they were deeply etched in my childhood. I could still remember my team. Swampert, Volbeat, Altaria, Seviper, Torkoal and Glalie. And I can never forget this music. Its soothing and calming, yet at the same time, spurs us on our journey. Pokemon would always be in my heart. ;)

I remember one day when I was about 10 and I had Emerald about 4 days, I had to go to the Optometrist and i was kinda nervous because it was the Eye hospital so I knew I'd be getting specialist eye drops (which sting like fuck). I had my gameboy advance with me in the waiting room and I thought it was turned off but i heard music coming from my pocket and it was this. I didn't feel nervous once I heard it.

Just one of the many many small but great memories I have of the pokemon franchise :)

I realized that I like Hoenn a bit more than I usually let on. I was 13 when Ruby and Sapphire came out, having grown through the previous two generations. Johto is still my favorite, but Hoenn has fond memories too. We'd just moved to a new neighborhood and I knew NO ONE my age. My brother got me a Game Boy Advance SP and Pokemon Sapphire. This game helped me make friends. Now, at 21, when I play Sapphire, it lets me remember the wonderful times and great memories I had with these games.

Ah, Gen 3.... I cry whenever I visit this town. Hoenn will always be my favorite Region. So many nostalgic moments in the Generation: My 1st ever Pokedex completion! 201 out of 202 Pokemon captured (Jirachi... -_-). Ive experienced the most happiness/memories from this Generation!

I used to do that too, I would turn on my GBA on and have headphones in it, and fall asleep with it on and change the batteries the next day. I loved my game so much. None of the other games (except maybe Black) has music that can compare to the Advance Generation.

I know R/S/E get bashed the most, and it was the first pokemon game I felt disappointed by. (It was still pretty good though, just a bit of a let down after Gen 2).

But Hoenn is easily the most interesting region in any of the games. It had the most variety, and the most environments. Going under the sea, up a volcano, through a desert... yeah.

@roboronald10 i got mine at a random Gamestop buy 2 get 2 free on used GBA games along with Pokemon Pinball (R/S), Link to the Past and Metroid Fusion, all for about 45 bucks. Get it at gamestop used, they're pretty good about it. If they don't have one in stock, they'll search for another one in a different store for you. Don't buy online. I remember i bought a messed up sapphire online one time. Its like 40 bucks for Emerald used, so make sure you have enough. Hope this helped.

@RE4GameFan There is a way to download and convert it to mp3, but you need Firefox/IE and also Realplayer. It's free to download. After installing, go to youtube and pick a video to watch. Put your mouse curser on the video screen and there should be a box that says "Download to Realplayer" Click that and it should download. After it's done, there should be a button that says "convert" Pick mp3 audio only and done. Reply if you have trouble or don't understand

The only thing that, in my eyes, tops the third one, is the S/G/C - generation.

I nearly cried when the remakes came out, and I WILL get B/W.
