I love this song to BITS! It's fun to finally see the video.

  • hay i think this guy owens the gas station in my town

  • damn the sax playing at 1:30 is sssssoooo awesome!!! if only we still had music like that today!!!

  • Warum erinnert mich dieses Lied an die Polizei?

  • Sam Zendejas...Sam the Sham!!!

  • Lead singer is from Presidio, Tx. That's a fact.

  • Listen, if you knew your manager had paid Union scale to two women just to stand motionless and look pretty for 2:22, your voice would crack too.

  • What's bad is I remember when this was first broadcasted...But it's still good!

  • They are a one hit no-wonder. LOL!

  • @MrWhatsittome You're just jealous that my comment has a few thumbs up and yours doesn't.

  • @Mufaso1000 ...es true :(

  • @JohnNorthWillys yeah he was mexican-american

  • ALSO 2 all the racist white fuck heads on this thread...90% of the best classic rock came from England i.e. the brit invasion so take your white power shit and educate your selves...fuck New York and American pride what do we have to be proud of besides freedom of speech,....recession and an astronomical debt were never going to climb out of. Heading to Ireland to get old and drunk!

  • As a 28 year old white male from Chicago...9/11ers and all of New York need to get the fuck over 9/11 and stop pissin' and whining! Never Forget cause u media fucks will not allow me to!! And if you think i'm not American go ahead, my Father is a Vietnam vet that was awarded a Purple Heart and picks shrapnel out of his arms and legs to this day and even he will tell you those firemen in NY are not heros. WHY THE FUCK WERE THEY EVEN MENTIONED ON VETERAN'S DAY even i don't get that one!

  • awesome! never would image this video combination! LOL! hilarious, indeed!

  • As an ignorant Englishman, I never knew these were Texans. This is the theme song of Wolves (Wolverhampton Wanderers to non English) and I always thought this was an English/British band. Just shows how stupid I am.

  • @istanbulbob Don't feel bad. D.Js here in the colonies told us at the time that Sam The Sham and his band were actually from Memphis, Tennesse and NOT from Memphis, Egypt(!!!!!) It was a revelation to most of us who thought they were an Egyptian band. Besides, your Wolves had good taste!

  • @pariahpete the band is from DALLAS...that's a fact !

  • @GUIDOBRAT I stand corrected. And the DJ. I just thought it was funny that the DJ had to tell people the band wasn't from Egypt. After all these years, I still like Wooly Bully. Most oldies don't age so well.

  • @pariahpete yeah, it's a great song ^5

  • @istanbulbob don't feell bad! it's being normal! nobodys perfect! if they were we would live in a worry free world!

  • @Cromag99 Thank you. Try the veal piccata ~ I'll be here all week! Seriously, if you're from Michigan, check out the "Pure Michigan" ads by poster Forgazi. Some things only people from Michigan will get!

  • great party song

  • CLASSIC STUFF! They don't make songs like this anymore! Or bands like SAM THE SHAM & THE PHARAOHS! This is REAL Dance Music!

  • This was an awesome sound to hear at dance clubs......As you walked in and this played you could feel the ground vibrate and shake beneath the feet to the beat. On a hot summers night this beautiful sound travelled across the clear starlight warm night and below there would be the passion wagons in full use.....Na not me though I was too young, shy and innocent on its original release. It was later when they played it as part of the DJ's collection that I heard it when I was older....smiles

  • SAM WAS NOT A BEANER --- HES SPANISH , FROM SPAIN

  • @JohnNorthWillys What's a BEANER? Is this anyone whio eats BEANS!

  • @JohnNorthWillys Actually, Sam was from Garland, TX (a suburb of Dallas)...he was born and raised there (Mexican/American heritage)

  • Shure that song helps boys in Vietnam to stay high! before the slaughter...

  • 49 people got eaten by wully bully

  • 36 people are the bully in the wooly.

  • Yeah! Watch it now!

  • fantastic!!

  • Religulous!!

  • this is proof you don't need great lyrics for a song to have a big hit. Just good music in the background. Love this song.

  • Think of the diversity that it wouldn't allow in the UK now. It was't meant to be an Anthem, but it is a great anthem for everyone, non?

  • Messicans wearing Turbans, are they Messicans though or like middle eastern or Sikh, nevermind ill just google it,

  • @guatemala946 mexicans? fail speller stupid guat

  • @FPSdaybreaK I am sorry what? Yes I do know how to spell Mexicans, I just have an odd sense of humour, theres no need for insults, just how I call Viatnamese people, Vitatamese, and Tuna sandwhiches Tuni Sammwhiches, though I must admit that Chapines dont have the best writing skills the world over, but you seem to have decent grammar, well besides for the fact that you forgot to make the M for Mexicans a capital, and add proper punctuation like say a period at the end there,

  • @guatemala946 LOL. Acid rains. Love how you deliver it in a subtle way. Ha,ha,ha....

  • @guatemala946 i checked they are all Americans, yes Mexico is America too.

  • @Strikesis So is Guatemala, and about a dozen other countries, though I think of Mexico as being more North American along with Canada and the US, what with Nafta and what not, maybe more Central America, whatever Latin America none the less, thanks and have a good one ,

  • Let`s not be L7`s!!

  • Sorry she saw a tuba horn and wholly dog.. my mistake..

  • about a thing she saw a wholly dog and a tuba horn/?

  • My Dad thought this was such a cool song that he let me buy the LP (in STEREO no less), then,he saw what they looked like and hated them. This was August 1965 and facial hair was frowned upon in our neck of the woods. lol

  • @professordumbledorf haha thats funny.

  • In our PC culture, I wouldn't be so sure

  • happy gilmore

  • L 7 ---- LOVE IT. SQUARE.

  • I love the 1960's....This was around 66, but who cares..We didn't have AIDS and couldn't give a crap about anything...Even though this song sucks, it was good. SMD

  • cool

  • They own just about everything like gas stations, stores, businesses of all kinds. More power to them, they are doing very well, God bless them.

  • The note at 2.02 is hilarious.

  • @onthegoldenline even sam laughs it off!!!!

  • @onthegoldenline Haha. I wouldn't have listened that closely if you hadn't pointed it out. Thanks! I remember seeing the liner notes on a "Best of... " album informing the listener that they weren't really Egyptian(!) but some fellows from Memphis.... Tennessee that is!

  • @onthegoldenline needs water?....lol

  • @onthegoldenline He needed to clear his throat, lol

  • @onthegoldenline He's got a throat ache ;o)

  • Why is the chick standing still? Is it something she has taken?

  • @pingtran I think she's been stuffed.

  • @pingtran I'm guessing they were told "just stand there and look pretty".... so they did!

  • so many memories, comes close to big band sounds, great times , 50 .. 60. wish we could go back, playing in the street, , discos. times where bad after w2, can,t believe im camera in black ,white. ok im gone . some people , just seem to hate. sad. but keep this page clean. don,t like it get off it,

  • In the early days the band travelled around in a hearse.

  • Look, I know yall are saying he is Mexican but Some think different!! And so people shouldnt make fun of him! He was a hit back then! Wait 20 years Rihanna and Beyonce will be ancient history, And I like them!! Soooo

  • 47 people are not wooly.

  • fail 1:57 to 2:03 lol

  • Aww his voice fails him a little... Kick ass song and cool lookin band.

  • @tom211t

back in those days the bands useally had no monitors boxes. If you are a singer I don't have to explain what that means :-)

  • The quintessential 1960s discoteque dance record.

  • lmao great song never had seen how this groupe looked wow reminds me of johny quest ..

  • Luvvvvv this song. Remember it from my pre-teen years. Remember a fat little kid on the block when he'd walk around shakin' his tush, singing in slow motion with a grin on his apple-pie face, "Bully-Bully" I wanted to shake him and scream, "It's Wooly-bully, not Bully-bully". But I didn't because him singing, "Bully-Bully was much funnier than the original. Good times. Where did they go?

  • The great thing about this group is that they are from TEXAS. Sam the sham?

What the hell does that mean? And the Pharoahs!!!! I love it! I love this song.

  • One of my all time favorite songs. It's simple and it's silly. But it is everything a pop rock song should be. I loved it when I first heard it 50 years ago and I loved every since and I love it today. And I always thought I would be alone standing up for this great song against all the critics and connooisserurs of popular american music, but then I saw Joan Jet do it live. I am redeemed. Thankd for this video. I love it.

  • Today would not be a good time for a Arab band after 911.

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Let's see, what's the story that I read; Sam the Sham, real name Domingo Samudio was working on an oil rig offshore or in a boat somewhere when one of his songs came on the radio and someone who was with him stated that he wondered whatever happened to Sam The Sham. Domingo replies "I heard that he died."

  • There were so many amazing groups back in the '60s that we never had time to fully-appreciate most of them. Sam The Sham & The Pharoahs were more than a novelty act. These guys could really play some smokin' rock & roll.

  • did he close his 7-11 to record this song?

  • I'm surprised to see this video on youtube! This was one of my fave songs back in the day. I have the 45, but I have never seen a video of it until just this moment! Thank you videosrecuerdos for putting it our there for all to enjoy!!!!!

  • cats eye

  • their outfits are really 'neat'

  • Is the girl a zombie, there should be some type of movement to the music, it makes me move even now.

  • Pharaohs playing guitars and Saxophones, I HAVE SEEN IT ALL.

  • I didn't know that Great Tiger from Mike Tyson's Punch Out had a band!

  • wow... how cool is this?

  • Dancing girls were great.

  • These guys would NEVER get thru airport security today

  • @toungepuncher1 Oh! Ha-ha-ha... (Sincere laughter with a smile on my face.)

  • @toungepuncher1 Sure they would!

  • @toungepuncher1 Perhaps Barbara Eden wouldn't either, lol!

  • @toungepuncher1

    lolo

    good one

  • @toungepuncher1 - Come to think of it, they wouldn't be able to prevent themselves like that today, with the current mood of political correctness. But they were funny....

  • @toungepuncher1

    Brings back many fond memories

  • @toungepuncher1 Yeah and they actually Mexican-American.

  • @toungepuncher1 It's not like their middle eastern. They're Mexican.

  • @toungepuncher1 yea that red dot is a target and only nut butter and bullets use it...............

  • @toungepuncher1 isn't that the truth. don't know much about them but the lead singer is a hottie, wish i could see a pic of him without that turban.

  • today, these guys would be arrested and send to guantanamo.i know they are not arabs, but they could fool me.

  • Volle Pulle ;))

  • From Texas baby! The best talent & most legendary music came from Texas!

  • Impressive. - E

  • fucks up damn

  • i like this

  • I grew up listening to them.. never saw their faces til today... they did Little Red Riding Hood... they were cool...

  • Does anyone know the origin of this video, particularly year, show and network?

  • My guitar teacher played with Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs for a while. FWTW. Love the shtick with the Cleopatras standing there akimbo with no movement while the wild male music surges around them.

  • Ya goota love it ......those one hit wonders of the 60's were dnagerous...amazing performance..and it's live...so funny....

  • Comment removed

  • I remember my grandmother always singing this to me when I was very small.... lol. Oh the memories....

  • REALLY LIVE!!!

  • Like .. The original surfer dude song ... Crazy

  • Number 1!

  • this is what the arabs did before they became terrorists

  • this is NOT little red riding hood dork, its woolly bully

  • Sam The Sham became a preacher, he often gets request to sing this song but he refuses every time

  • I remember watching this live. (Showing my age.) He strained his voice with the yell just before the instrumental. Caused him to break on the high note on the last chorus. He was like, "Oops!"

  • now this is real cholo music!
