I bought a really sturdy stainless steel mesh strainer from Bed Bath and Beyond so I could press the water out of the weed with a heavy ice cream scoop. The strainer sits over the top of the pot with a little tab. I let it sit on the counter until it cools before putting it in the fridge, or some of it sinks. I do rinse the underside of the "disk" because there's nasties on it. Then I simmer it to get all the water out of it so it won't mold in the fridge. It will stay in the fridge for weeks!

nice herb to butter ratio but cooking it for 15 minutes is wayyy to short. since you have a crock pot put that shit on the lowest setting and let it cook for upwards of twelve hours. the effect will be noticeably stronger

Great video. Several questions however. How do you get the leaves so finely ground up and not bang the trichomes off the leaves? After you strained out the dirt, did you put the cooked medicine back into hot water then melt butter and then strain again? Nothing in video shows how to get from medicine that was just sterilized to the hard green butter. Can you fill in some of those blanks please?

Yes product is then topped up again with distiled water and rinse a second time if concern of product is present. Good cooking practices!

One clean distilled water is added you can add your water to the plant material and 8 hours later you strain and put into fridge over night and in the morning seperate the butter from the water and remaining Chorylhil and you are good to go for baking. Strength comes down to the product used and method!

As with all extraction indeed you will loose some Trichomes. As we alwys say but many choose not to hear if you are happy with what get than that is all that matters.

If you fear useing some hot water simply used a Quarter pound of butter thus way less cannabis or trim!

i recommend freezing your shake for 24 hours before u cook it and the trichoms will fall off easier

If doing a water extraction you use frozen bud or trim. The Ice in the water drops the temp and the Trichomes break off as you stir the Ice, Water and Plant Material in the primary bag.

Then the Trichomes (grandular heads) fall through to their respective micron size in a bag under the primary bag. This is why for water extraction you use 3-6 bags.

With the correct strain (genitics) to work with your genitics such as a heavy indica will assist with sleep. Please remember cannabis is a complmenery therapy not a primary.

Like with pain cannabis works to a certain pain theshhold then you need look at other options. I use cookies for sleep for they last longer and can be made to the strength that works with my genitics and puts me into a deep REM

Correct you clean your cannabis prior to cooking like any other vegtable or fruit. éthe heat if to hi can reduce potency however in a crock pot on low for 8 hrs you make your extraction.

In the video I put the strained cannabis fluid & water in a plastic bowl and when I bring it out 6 hrs later you seen the video. It works for me and I always stand by my work.
