What I'd like to know is who covered who? This is from 12-09-78 and Sid's version was recorded 6-30-79 (according to wiki) but it's possible he was previously acquainted with her version.

Yeah, that makes sense because it seems like she's covering him instead of the other way around. Plus WOULD HE COVER HER? I don't believe he would do that. Covering Eddie Cochran is one thing but covering Nina doesn't seem like something he'd do, however she's made it clear she'll grab anything she wants and run with it as in the case of using The Tubes White Punks On Dope arrangement and re-writing it as a completely different song
