Tremendous. Recordings like this are a reminder of how truly incredible Queen was in their prime, beck in the days before glam and arena rock caved in under the weight of pretentious bands.
looking at the different vids for the different concerts of this, may played around with the solo more during the 70's. Most of the stuff from the end of the Jazz tour, the Game Tour, and the Magic tour sounds the same in terms of how its played
just a bunch of delay noise . sounds like shit to me. Brian may could play better than that . Hes fucking around so much on this solo with delay it sounds crappy
I think it might be water. Same as in the I Want It All video. Possibly it`s a sound thing? I have been wondering about that myself seeing it here again. He does not strike me as the type to do that just for the visual effect and I can`t imagine it not affecting the sound.
And doesn't his guitar look nice and new still!! He goes wayyyy flat a couple of times on this - he freely admitted that he used to get lost in the delays in the early concerts.
outstanding!!!! this is queen at their very best - no doubt..... i would love to get my hands on a copy of this show... anybody out there let me know...
Great show. I saw them about 3 weeks earlier in the Glasgow Apollo. My first ever concert. It was also the day that 'Bo-Rap' went to No 1 in the BBC charts and Freddie toasted the occasion with a glass of champers. God these were good days!
american idol all it is...is this rock and roll is dead since kurt cobain died. 1994 around there. the so called new young rock bands that think they write songs and play are dead pointless...the so called singers that don't really write just sing are basically dead pointless...american idol is all the major record companies that you knew and loved trying to feel that music can still have a life...it doesn't ...it died...AS FOR QUEEN ONE OF THE GREATEST ROCK BANDS EVER..
in plain english - A fucking unbelievable performance!
THIS is Queen, not the bubblegum pop shit they sang as a tribute during American Idol. What a disgrace, what a misrepresentation of what Queen really was. You want to know what Queen was REALLY ABOUT? Then watch this video!
who says brian may cant shred, brian can shred everyday he wants he is the best in shreds but the most importan he is the greatest,
greatest means can do anything not only being fastest, also being a greatest.

Water is very dense so when put inside a drumkit it akes the sound deeper and louder. thats probably what it is and why he's doing it
03wgreen 4 years ago
Its water on the drum heads for effect. He also used to put powder on his drum heads to create a cloud around him.
