Very good valuable flight instruction, it's like sitting in a flight school class, the suit makes you look official, and, adds to the visuals, your responses are all very wise. Your videos are unique and some of the best for breaking past the fear factor on YouTube. Good work!
thank you Dr. Sokal for all the time and effort you put into these videos. I know you dont get paid to do these etc,so its nice to see someone give back to your rc communtiy as much as you do. Perhaps Eflite will take notice one day and toss a brand new blade;) Is there anywords on eflites blade new blade 600CP ? in 2011? Thanks and Cheers~J.
Great instructional video and from somebody who is in a Chinook crew. I was looking at you setup videos to work out where my washout has to be neg/mid/pos stick so I can setup the pitch of my blades. I'd previously levelled out as per rcheliwiki with level bell-hiller mixers but took it out today and had positive pitch below mid stick. Nice all in an all, but please exercise a bit of safety. Headspeeds can get be around 2500-3000rpm and you're letting your kid go around in a rideon toy car.
Thanks for the demo and info, I've been considering the 400 for a little while. I love that a kid in a motor wheels drives right by an RC heli, can't be to safe right?
I've just gone back on my simulator after watching your video and it's great to put it in to practice, especially with the same model so I can see what it can and should do. My banked turns are geting better and better, and I'm gradually feeling more 'in control' of where it goes and when. I did 9 years in the RAF, so I'm right at home with the uniform! ;-) Keep it up mate!
ry getting a simulator. I've been flying the Blde400 on Poenix 2.0 using my DX6i controller, so I've been able to experiment with expo settings etc and getting a feel for the helicopter WITHOUT expensive repair bills!
I can strongly recommend it, and I can also recommend getting something like an MCX, CX2 or CX3 (which I have) to practice.
keep your inputs smal and smooth once u put an input in watch and wait for it to react. most beginer mistake is to over corect ans end up going down the heli will fly on its own you tell it what u want it to do
Great video, exactly the sort of stuff I need as a first-time flier with a new Blade 400 3D sitting downstairs waiting for it's virgin flight. The hand-painted 'H' on the landing pad added a nice touch!
Hi. I wanted to thank you for such a wonderfull job on showing videos like these ones, there's a lot of people like my self that need help on how to fix and adjust, trim etc. Because some of us don't have a clue of what to do after a crash . Again thank you so much and if you could post a video on how to track the blades. thanks.

I like how at the end you have your kid riding around near a heli with blades spinning at hundred's of RPMs.
