  • lil wayne add on a Sarah Mclachlan video, good deal

  • If I had to pick a favorite Sara-Mac song, this would be it.

  • she has the voice of a angel too bad she doesnt get the real prps from mane streem music awards only best new artist for fumbling

  • OH, GOD:

Reminds me of marriage, or any relationship for that matter:

"Am I in heaven heaven here or am in hell..."

At the crossroads I am standing

And we will praise it--and love the life that brings a smile across your face

...cause this is gonna hurt like hell...

  • hello SUPERNALONE ... it is I __SPAMGOD__

nice to see you again ... check out the room " Fly or Die"

how Supernal you are... and this song is .

check it out... I'll be back to check on this .

    SUPERNALONE ..... __SPAMGOD__ out.

  • loves this song.

  • Karin and Blair Donnan were married in 1987 despite Blair's HIV diagnosis two months earlier. Before his death in 1989, Blair asked his wife to speak publicly about the ignorance surrounding AIDS. After watching 'A Promise Kept,' a documentary about the couple, McLachlan was inspired to write this 1994 song about them.

  • her lazy eye is really bothering me

  • You can almost compare this album to Nine Inch Nails’ “Downward Spiral.” I know Sarah’s music and sound isn’t “rock” in a conventional sense but the spirit of this album is definitely “rock.” Obviously NIN and Sarah’s sounds are miles apart but the spirit is the same in a sense that they are both baring their soul and use whatever means necessary to have the music fits what they are really feeling deep inside of them.

  • @ehors123 your starting to think like an artist.

  • I have to say, this album (Fumbling toward Ecstasy) is the best album of Sarah. Afterglow, Surfacing, Solace, and Touch are all great but they don’t have the “edge” that this album has.

  • this song was on the "No Alternative" album

  • I bet she is an amazing kisser :P haha ^^

  • That dancer in the back looks so much like Michelle-Barara Pelletier, I wonder if it's her...

Wonder how did I manage to look beyond Sarah's eyes though

  • I love her lyrics, I love her voice, I love her music! Her music will never get old to me! She is truly an inspiration!

  • i like her live version better

  • My two cents on why everyone might think this woman is lesbian :

We all know water seeks it's own level. That said, it appears nearly impossible that there exist a man for her, or more honestly said, the idea of perfection we see in her through her act. However, take away the combination of her extreme beauty and talent and production and there are lots of women as amazing. ..and low an behold there are men for them if they choose them.

  • I bought the DVD of her music videos so I could watch this, Sweet Surrender, & Building a Mystery on my widescreen TV....it was totally worth the 7 dollars!

  • she has such an amazing voice...she speaks to my heart...

  • She just rocks like that...just saying...

  • I'm sorry Sarah lost her love...I did too.

  • I love how Sarah starts off with lovely but restrained vocals, and works up the intensity slowly and subtly, until when she finally pushes her voice until it breaks you can't help but get a catch in the throat, start to tear up - here she does it at about 2:38 - she doesn't need to shriek, she gets the message across with a touch -

also it's a bit of a shock to see, in this vid, that her customary beatific smile keeps melting into a sardonic sneer, a rictus of pain - here Sarah, need a hug?

  • @SupernalOne nah.. dont think so. this is the most boring McLachlan track i ever wittnessed.. and you are just wafflin :)

  • @SilentCorona

love and joy come to you, and to you a waffle too :)

  • @SupernalOne waffles here, waffles there, Sarah Mac is a lovely mare! :D

  • what grows within us to express how we feel for the signicant other? Is Love it helps us express how we feel for the significant other, we turn them to poems, beautiful songs or just simply letters, letters that were never delivered. I love her Sarah's Music.

  • new i was going to send this someday, but not today.realy screwed with my head colleen! I WAS REAL!

  • I love the mirrorball version

  • she's a beautiful artist

  • thank you for bringing some peace to my life..

  • Sarah has a great SOUND & shr sings truth!

  • Whats this song about? Who inspired it?

  • Such a beautiful song. What an incredible voice. Something more than very special eminates from this woman's voice. Sarah has an amazing gift. It never gets old listening to her sing.

  • @TheLmalon

    Amen 2 dat!

  • Sarah M. is another one of those rare exceptions of true art in today's lose description [and I mean 'lose'] of the word (art). She doesn't need a painted face, high-tech gear, back ground vocalists, dancers, ect. to prove that she is a talented person. Not only is she so; she and her gift are unique. Sarah, Alanis Morrissette, Bon Jovi, Jewel, Goo Dolls, Train, Lifehouse, Nickleback, Dave Matthews Band, Hinder, ...I'm going off the top of my head can't get em all in here, help.... all rock!!!

  • @michaelsmuse Check my channel for one more man who is ALL those things too! And so I don't get spammed, I also agree with what you said about her!

  • @michaelsmuse Evanescence... they're a tad doctored, but live they're amazing, so I'd say it counts. ^^

  • @HarvestMoonWish Yes, I agree, wanted to name them too, forgot them; as I said, was going off top of my head. Some more for you here; (even though he's commercialized a bit now, he's still got amazing talent) Keith Urban (any of his old stuff c. 1990s - 1999/2000 is fair game [ stuff he does now doesn't hold a candle]), Nirvana, Our Lady Peace, from the 80's: Mr. Mister, Toto, and Eddie Money, who else?? Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, and Sheryl Crow. If u think of any more.... just tell me.

  • @michaelsmuse Keith Urban's cool. Rascall Flatts, and definitely Sheryl Crow. I love her so much. :)

  • Love: A sharing of the self

    Don't get swept away

in the mind games of the heart

    Tomorrow is another day

    learn to love yourself

    What is love anyway

but a sharing of the self...

    M.S. Morrison

  • THIS IS MY FAV SONG BY SARAH, i have been listening to her since i can remember in high school her music got me through so many trials and tribulations, she has all my respect... SARAH IS THE BEST,,,

  • its great

  • hold on, hold on, to yourself for this is gonna hurt like hell,,,,,,,,,,

  • she truly deliver angle voice

  • yesv /spy true

  • This isn't the same mix that's on the album. Does anyone know where I can get a high quality file of this version?

I love this video, and Sarah is amazing.

  • I love the way guitar comes in strong at 2:40. Very effective.

  • Where were the Grammys with Sarah and Natalie Merchant. Their true fans will always be with them. Hollywood is fleeting and for sale.

  • She has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. I really miss her older stuff like this when she was writing better than her last few albums but all writers go through dull times, I should know.

  • dear sarah; you are a goddess.

  • @ Twigget247- beautifully put - she is a story teller extraordinaire.

  • that. iz. wat. i . call--->sublime :)

  • This song reminds me of my lost marriage.... it had its major lows.. I would pray to just see him smile. Its been over for 3 years and it still hurts as bad the day he walked out.

  • I just like Sarah because she loves animals like I do.

  • I wish my voice was half as beautiful as hers <3

  • would it matter if she was lesbian or not? She is a talented woman no matter what anyones opinion on her sexuality is. Beautiful song. People get to wrapped up in things that dont matter.

  • why are u wasting time debating this beautful womans sexual identity? its none of your business. she helps in healing my soul

  • why is it when a woman expressess herself with intelligence and compassion for other woman shes labelled ?she is so secure in her own muilebrity she doesnt need to appeal to alpha type males...her songs and her voice make me feel and bring my deepest emotions to the surface I truly love listening to her always and forever

  • SHE LIKES BOTH SEXES SO WHAT? I KNOW HER VERY WELL, BUT WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT IT? THAT'S HER LIFE AND CHOICE I ALSO KNOW THE MEANING OF HER SONGS HEHEHE THEY ARE SO DEEP

  • also wanted to add that I'm a straight man who loves Sarah. She has great natural beauty. What a smile, too!

  • Fumbling towards Ecstasy was by far her best album. All the songs on it were awesome. Her sound was unique, and very different than the other angst, women rockers of the 90's. And to the poster below, I think Sarah got confused for being lesbian because of here lesbian style shirt haircut back then. That, and the fact she started Lilith Fair!

  • Wow, what an amazing You Tube site. Gorgeous videos and sound, I just finished experiencing Angel...wow, excellent Sarah, excellent :-)

  • she is SO beautiful!

  • She's not a lesbian, but we in the community sure wish she was. She and her music love us though, rock on Sarah.

  • @baybpi I'm gay too. Are you sure she isn't?

  • @baybpi If Sarah Joins my wife is coming along as well... Peace out to all my girls in the community.... Remember ya gotta love the sweendog!

  • @baybpi I'm in the community, and I'm just glad she exists.

  • @baybpi

Why would you wish that? To scissor with her, or for some other reason?

  • @baybpi I'vw heard she is openly bi-sexual, though.

  • Why does everyone think she's lesbian?

THis song is beautiful, like all her songs. Sarah is very expressive.

  • is she lez

  • @lezzielet00 No.

  • @lezzielet00

Why is that even relevant to ask...? Who gives a damn aside from stereotypical assholes? lmao.

    Beautiful song.

  • hit the nail on the head twigget247. This song plays in my head over and over. I am going through a hard hard divorce. I don't want it. So I feel like he is dieing. Our love is dieing. I wish he wouldn't let go of everything we have.

  • i know this song is about a woman who's husband is dying of aids but it makes me think of my son when he was born and had to be put in the NICU. it still makes me cry and it's been 10 years. he is strong and healthy now.

  • If she were a lesbian, I think her husband would be surprised to find out - especially since they've had a kid together.

  • What is even more interesting is the fact she did not even know the couple that inspired this song. She was inspired by a documentary about that couple. She is one of the few singer/song writers who can so completely step outside of themselves and deliver a song as if it were a personal experience. Truly reaching out and reaching in.

  • @twigget247

Amazing Talent n Work! Truly Brilliant! Her voice exudes Peace / Tranquility / Zen...she's part of my daily Therapy...God Bless her!

  • @alcy2u This world could use a lot more of that now. Probably why I love living out in the country!

  • @alcy2u This world could use a lot more of that now. Probably why I love living out in the country! And listening to music like this :)

  • @twigget247 Hi-what couple is this song inspired by?

  • is she a lesbian?

  • FIRST!!! Well, it makes sense that I get to be the first to post... because I am the #1 Sarah fan :)))

Interesting fact that made me LOVE this song EVEN MORE: Sarah wrote this song about this women whose fiance was dying of aids.. and how the woman stuck with him and Married him and was by his side till the day he died. And this beautiful heartfelt song came out of that beautiful story. One of my favorite songs... ever. <3
