in my view countertenors should let women sing that kind of songs. even if a man sings in falsetto, is a male. this pieces aren't for a man. composers in 8th century took women, when they didn't have a castrato. so, why a man is singing that song?
i don't know why lots of people enjoy aris christofellis....his voice in my opinion is not nice, not sweet...is not charming like a woman's voice!cecilio is a sweet caracter!
every mezzo (and soprano) would sing that song better!

Did you contact the seller about the bad quality? I simply cannot believe that the original recording was that bad so a recording of proper quality must exist somewhere. It's very, very hard to appreciate his voice fully through such distorted audio.
What a shame. All notes are good! Low ones and high ones. They are only in different octaves! What is odd is that a lot of pop music from male singers are going into higher ranges. I know that choirs are SATB or Female/Female/Male/Male. I would love to see a choir of countertenors/sopranists! Now that would be cool!
The sound quality is terrible and I've heard him sound amazingly wonderful. Michael Maniaci handles this aria a lot beter though.

Yes when I was in my early 20's. That was 27 years ago! I am lucky if I can hit the A or B below C6.

yeah. the guys in my choir think its not cool to sing high, so they don't even try. our tenor section is really weak. it sucks
