RipOff Report is not a credible source, whether the reports are true or not. If I were you, not only would I not take the website seriously, I would avoid and stay away from the website period.

I'm 50/50 about lets say you go to court and win but your case info still on ripoffreport then should be removed but if you are a habitual rip off artist to many people then yes you should stay on rip off report. If there is a new victim then yes you get reposted back to ripoffreport. Perhaps stop ripping people off then you will be removed?
To those saying the fbi cant find ed magedson that is not true. The fbi can locate anyone if the dept of justice wanted to get him they would unless he was somewhere where he could not be extradited. Anyone wanting to serve magedson could request his service address from the arizona secretary of states office

I remember seeing a rip off report by someone who said that a subway restaurant I go to (he posted the address which was in my town) said that they use tainted cheese in their sandwiches and that you can get sick from them within a few mins. Kinda wierd since I've been to that subway restaurant and haven't gotten poisoned by the cheese in my sandwhiches
Rip-off report has helped me on more than one occasion. The website has been very beneficial to the whole community. God bless the Rip-off Report! Many businesses are scumbags with no heart and rip people off their money. That is why they complain and whine like little babies.

Definitely a skewed news report. Rip Off Report is definitely covered by the First Amendment. While it has its share of misinformation, it has plenty of testimonials (both written and videotaped) that prove that it does work.
A "testimonial" on ripoffreport using your own name will result in that company's employees filing false reports on you. Anyone in their right mind should stay away from that site. After I filed a report about the company's scheme, the Colorado District Attorney called me to help file a lawsuit against said company. But RipoffReport should be for big cases only (like scams and such), and if someone wrongly reviews them on their site -- they get the chance for a rebuttal. A review site like the ones you mentioned are preferable.
The last thing shady businesses want is an outlet for the ripped off consumer to post their story to the public. Might hurt business, might hurt profits, Might mean they can only spend three weeks in the Caribbean on vacation instead of the usual four

They should instead take into consideration the corporation's vows to amend these complaints with their customers and affix this to the titles of reports (I still think they shouldn't remove them) for no fee.
