@02Nawal You're speculations are completely unfounded, Mesaba airlines has one of the best if not the best safety records of ALL regional carriers. I KNOW for a fact that the inspections are done correctly and on time, I am part of the crew responsible for doing the heavy checks on our 200's and 340's here in DTW.
There are a few private plane airports throughout the Twin Cities suburbs. Flying Cloud Airport at Edina, Minn. is one. The only other airport of size would be the St. Paul Downtown Airport/Holman Field (KSTP) along the Mississippi River. That airport mostly handles corporate jets and other light aircraft, but it could probably handle a CRJ or even an MD80/DC9/A319 in an emergency since the primary runway 14-32, is 6,491' x 150'.
@peteboy1113 There are five airports in the MSP Area. Wold Chamberlain Field is the main int'l airport. There are three very small Airports for private air travel. There is also a regional airport near St, Paul .

Treldman. I hate to burst your bubble but small planes are not safer than large planes. I would say they're equally safe. What does a larger glide slope if an engine blows out mean? And the larger plane's wings flex because they are designed to flex. If they didn't THEN they would snap off. So it's actually a good thing that they are flexing. Every commercial jet is designed to withstand turbulence, small and large. Not sure where you got your info from.
Larger glide slope equals a larger chance at landing safely at a long runway. This happens a lot with large, heavy airplanes losing their engines, and having a CFIT, or Controlled Flight Into Terrain. Though small aircraft can do this also, it happens less often due to the weight.
The Crj900 is such a nice aircraft. Even though it is small, it can still go pretty far. I remember a while back when they were using the 757-200 to go from MSP- Austin.
Lighter, which means they can get a slightly larger glide slope if an engine blows out. Shorter wings (if you look at a large plane's wing during turbulence, you'll see it flex like crazy), so it has less of a chance to snap off. And even though the change of a wing snapping off is small, it's there.
I wounder that too. I was wondering if all the NWA aircraft will be repainted to Delta colours? Will Delta then get the Airbus A320 and A319, as well as the 747 and A330?
is it ok to use any kind of camera on the plane? cuz i think the flight attendants tell u to put it away b/c it makes some kind of signal. but i dont think it should be a big deal anymore, cuz theres obviously lots of people doing it anyway.
so, since when is a tranceiver allowed to be used on an aircraft as a passenger? oh well, good video anyways. I am a pilot on that aircraft. i love flying it.
How do you hear ATC? Got LiveATC going? from what wireless port source? Great video? PS-Does it affect the pilot's capabilities to hear ATC if you're listening as well?
This is just a perfect video! I always enjoy going to and taking off from MSP. Beautiful aircraft, beautiful airport. Thank you for posting this!

Mesaba sucks. I highly doubt they even inspect these small little puddle jumpers especially the crappy little propeller saabs

Yes, there is a smaller airport for private planes across the river from downtown St. Paul. That's where 3M's corportate jets are.

yeah NWA is horrible. You might as well say delta. Wonder if they will repaint them as delta? Wouldn't matter, they still be pretty bad.

I dont know, I didn't really try to. Ask that question to the other million in flight videos on Youtube. ;)
