The place shown in the video is called McCoy's, I believe. It's one of the most popular places around there, so I'm sure if you ask around someone will be able to show you. Owl Rafting takes all their customers down that rapid. You can stand on the side of the river and watch the kayakers surfing at the bottom of it, it's pretty entertaining.
nope no infections or diseases, and I was in there pretty much all day 7 days straight, it was really warm though, warmest fresh water I've ever been in. my uncle lives right on the river and kayaks every day
the ottawa river is nasty polluted
i can't remember a whole week last summer that Petri Island was open...

You didn't get any infections? diseases? AMAZING... used to have a cottage on the river. Got sick everytime i put my head below the water.
