  • Rest in peace beautiful woman.

  • I LOVE THE LES SURFS VERSION TOO!!!!!

  • Beautiful woman omg. Omg her song is so truuuuuuue

  • I saw Nicolette up close and live in this time frame at The Bottom Line in New York. Unlike this video, she was wearing some makeup on and was strikingly beautiful. She had great energy and spirit with a voice to match. She looked like she was having so much fun up on stage. It's so sad about her demise, but fortunately her music lives on.

  • 2:30 go back to flugal horn scales brother!

  • My God - modern music really, really blows by comparison...

  • Been here before - I love this clip. What a gifted person - sings beautifully....

  • SHE NAILED THIS :D

  • very few performers can sing a song better live than in the studio, this is the sign of pure talent. She had it.

  • We watch this over and over-- love it. RIP

  • God bless you Nicolette where ever you are, if I die in 12-24-2012 I hope to see you in heaven and hear you sing this song to me until the end of time or until time doe not exist anymore.

  • Nice little gem here. Great singing and good band.

  • Maybe that "happy" intro sparked the performance up a notch? The horns were awesome starting out of the gate, and Nicolette was absolutely spot ON. Beautiful arrangement, tall trees should be fallin down.

  • BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL:):) REST IN PEACE ALWAYS NICOLETTE GOD TOOK YOU FROM US WAY TOO SOON:(:( I GUESS HE WANTED YOU TO SING TO HIM UP IN HEAVEN WHERE YOU ARE NOW IN PEACE AND HAPPINESS:):)

  • I have all her albums on 33 vinyl

  • One of my favorite songs of all time. It's perfect, flawlessly written and sung. Never heard it live until now and I think she sounds better live.

  • always great to hear performers with different bands. nicolette has a tremendous voice and can mix right in. as a culture, one is fortune to be able to hear and see what is was like back in the late 70's and early 80's. rip nicolette

  • Thank you for posting this video very very nice ..such a beautiful voice and such a very pretty lady to leave us so very early in life .........RIP Nicolette Always like'd her hit song 'Lotta Love'.......

  • Rick Dees is so plastic his hair almost fell off!

  • can I call the number today in 2011 and make a donation?

  • My eyes are tearing up. I loved that woman .A shooting star - so very sad.

  • What ? No ear piece ???

    Live singing ?

    RIP Nicolette .

    She was really special.

    Thank you

  • Nicolette, I miss your sweet voice... my oldest daughter's first name is Nicolette and she has a sweet voice nlike yours.

  • This is so speial Nicolette in her prime doing her thing. You got something here.

  • This is priceless. Thanks so much for posting!!!!

  • Wow! what an amazing voice i first saw this beautiful lady backing neil young on his unplugged video and forgot all about her then ive fallen on this i never new she sang this neil young classic. Blown away literally i wish i could have seen her live! Voices this good are hard to find! Pleasure listening thankyou!

  • This was one talented lady.

Two magnificent vocal performances. The band was good too.

    JibBob Seeker.

  • Beautiful voice. Very adorable.

  • HOW did we go from being graced with such talent to having to endure the lip singing queens of today

  • Now this is actually live!

  • this version of "lotta love" sounds awesome. it should be added as a bonus on the original album

  • Hermosa, natural y talentosa belleza. Te enamoras al ver sus videos, una gran pérdida seguramente No reconocida en su justa medida.

  • Man, was she ever tiny.

  • @TheCozybear65 She WAS tiny! They used to call her "the little girl with the big voice". I met her once, but she was sitting up on the side of the stage, although I could still tell she was quite small. She was very sweet and unassuming - kept asking "is everyone having a good time?" I still miss her.

  • she looks a bit stressed out. not as happy and relaxed as other videos,.

  • Love her !

  • Is Nils Lofgren playing keyboards on this?

  • @susantyrellfans Nope, not Nils.

  • Beautiful

  • Rick Dees Nuts.. One of the top 3 best songs of the 1970s.. And there were many greats!

  • This girl and her voice lift me to a better place - she has such extraordinary natural beauty and the voice of an angel. I wish I could bottle the feeling I get when I hear, and, watch her perform. She lightened up the world - and still does.... If aliens are ever going to clone us. they'd better use her hair in the equation - wow. May she rest in peace - thanks, Nicolette.

  • Thank you Nicolette

  • I still have an uncrushable crush on Nicolette...33 years and counting. She was the ONLY person who could improve on a Neil Young song, R.I.P.

  • This girl was fantastic

  • Though not the original, Nicolette's I Only Want to Be With You is definitely the best version. Thanks for posting this. I only wish we could have the studio version. The only place it is currently available is on a Japanese version of youtube.

  • fantastic! :)

So sincere, no bullshit, just two great songs in a row...!

  • If only music these days could be this pure. She was great. So sad no producers gave her more songs to sing: she had a great voice! I love this song!!!

  • @SMdLady

yeah i'm guessing she went country in 1985 because she was not getting a top 40 type producer at the time.

her music in 1987/88 was very good. she just needed for it to be heard and promoted.

i'm glad she had a child later when her career had settled down.

i am wondering if the tylenol rumours are actually true why she was in pain. i heard about tylenol being toxic to the liver too. 45 is not that old that someone needs pain medication every day.

  • OMG She's gorgeous!

  • She is so naturally sexy, so naturally beautiful without even trying. She sings with such sincerity. Nicci left us way too soon. God bless her and her daughter.

  • @mloma1 I didnt realize she had a daughter...taken way too soon

  • @jimbronxny Her daughter's name is Elsie May Larson. I saw a clip of Elsie May singing on You Tube here somewhere. She looks a whole lot like her Mom. I agree with you, she was someone who sounded as good as she looked.

  • OMG she was sooo beautiful and what a voice...miss her!

  • geesh, is Rick Dees on happy pills or what? Loved you Nicolette. Miss you. You were a great talent.

  • ps

    tylenol for pain?

what kind [of pain n wot else]?

  • u more than right im sure '54'

but i cant stand pap like that movie

  • 'oi' just was beein' Honest

and spookily this clip i discovered round about the same time as one of the blogs i follow had a posting of the 12'' disco mix of the 1st song

    all 1 extra minute!

  • discovery lol

  • wow fucking wow

now i know why i hate xfactor pop idol etc

    this girls

    different class

    and is relatively unknown

[well 2 me ne who lol]

some one will put one of her songs in a movie or something hopefully

whos the 'over the rainbow' redicovery who s also dead

    u know??

  • @MURPHNSPUD several of her songs were in movies back in the day. as in the movie ''twins''.........

  • She was really awesome and still my favorite vocalist of all time!

  • @stevenrstanek gee, now you sound like me, she has been my favorite FEMALE vocalist since 1978..... this also drives my wife insane... which I think is quite funny.

  • thanks for the info. proxicate.

  • Thank you. Its great to see Nicolette in her prime.

  • man, I miss the 80's !! I saw Nicolette in concert in Charlotte, NC back aroung 84 or 85, very beautiful, magnetic personality, gorgeous girl. I was saddened to hear of her untimely death, I hope I don't soung morbid, don't mean to be but I would be interested in details of how she died.

  • @jeffreyorich She suffered severe liver damage and blood vessel damage from taking too much Tylenol for pain and taking too many valiums for anxiety at the same time. This ended up causing fluid to build up in her brain to critical levels and that's how she died.

  • @proxicate Again, People Tylenol is "hidden" in alot of over the counter and prescrition pain relievers and it's highly toxic to the liver. If you're suffering from recuring pain, please see a doctor and don't take Acetametophen on a daily basis.

  • echo on lotta love almost sounds psychedelic.

    she was a diamond.

  • love this clip! Nicolette Larson rocked!

  • this was almost 30 years ago, does'nt seem like it. I nearly forget how beautiful Nicolette was.........

  • Great addition to the video clips library here. Thanks for posting it!
