I don't want to be a jerk, but some of the things you do are downright brainless. "Why be scared of the outcome?" Because it only takes one lapse of judgement to end up injured for life. Or worse.
It's one thing to be tough or brave. It's another to be stupid. Throwing yourself into harm's way for amusement or to "show off" is hardly respectable. It certainly doesn't prove anything, least of all your horsemanship skills. You don't have to be reckless to live life to the fullest.
If anyone's bugging her about wearing a helmet you should just STOP now! What about when the didn't make helmets huh? Which wasn't very long ago. Probably less than one hundred years. Plus its her decision she is a human and has rights so don't even bother.
i think your an amazing rider! and i hate when people tell me to ALWAYS ride with my helmet. i know that you can get killed by not riding a horse. but even with a helmet, you could still be killed. keep up the good work! (: your great at it. :D
I don't really think it's about growing a pair. It's about making a simple decision that could have huge impacts. Do you wear your seatbelt in a car? Doesn't mean your a woss if you do lol.
I worked teaching the disabled to ride horses. A volunteer at the program, 13 years old, thought she would be brave since she was in a hurry and took her horse out without her helmet. He slipped and she hit her head. Now she's gone from A-Circuit Hunters to being led around on ol' Pepper.

i mean se4riously! this stuff might be daring but its sure not stupid!!! you are an awesome rider and if ANYONE has a problem with that they'll have to go through me.. and i aint gonna back down without a fight!;) i mean i ride with a helmet cause my parents want me to and its safer but i have ridden without one! people say im crazy for getting on gracie or riding avalanche and willy but i dont think so! they deserve a chance. :) just like all your horses and you are giving them that chance!:)<3

I always wear a helmet because three years ago I had a really bad fall just walking around bback and if I didn't have my helmet, i wouldnt be here. look at the rider courtney king, she would have died without her helmet w the fall she took, i think of it as i will wear my helmet so i can ride the rest of my life, and wearing one doesn't make me a sissy.
This video is really touching. Honestly, it's my first one that I saw by you and I didnt think you used a saddle! Haha. Amazing balance and lower leg strength. I also love how you've diversed yourself with both english and western riding.
(: I think you're completly correct about living your life and not holding back. There are no time machines to go back and time and do something over. So do it then or loose it.

personally i hate wearing a helmet because like you feel more free when you dont and it shows trust in your horse. i wouldnt wear one at all but my mom and dad make me :/ sometimes i slip past them though without it :) nice vid!
