@LCDrumsandGuitar Because it is Jefferson Davis High, from Montgomery, Al, where African-American students are majority. Those in the drill team gave their best to be a part of it.

why is the blood stripe hald the size of regular marines? our school is taking the blood stripe off soon because marines at camp pendelton are complaining about it.

The one thing I hate about the MCJROTC program is the uniforms. The fact you guys have the red stripe is disrespectful to actual Marines. It's earned after the LCpl. grade.

The MCJROTC Blood Stripe is only about 1/2 the size of the original Marines Blood Stripe. Its not disrespectful in anyway.

yep this is Tubbs, blitz, jus gettng back from boot camp too. Wow i was corporal then but im always wayyyyyyy in the back though. Still is the best platoon we have had since i was there......organized.....no attitudes(thank to ssgt mosley) lol

thats when our first year cadets (me) were the squad had to step up pretty soon. Majority of us in this platoon made it to battalion level or leaders of a company. Prolly aint gonna happen anymore

JROTC is on the school level... you dont have to pay anything. all you need is some good will and hard work.

its been 5 years since our mcjrotc program has seen a drill comp, we have maybe 12 people show upto drill its horrible

Yeah, ppl dont usually take JROTC serious...

I just hate the way some members dont take it serious.

Our team was not as loyal as I wanted it to be but when it was our time to do our drill everybody took it seriously.

Eventualy they became stupid and whole drill team fell apart.

Scrool down a bit, "gunny1962" was our teacher and drill instructor.
