@777butch777 Well, Eric uses the mid boost circuit on his Smoker's Stratocaster to push the front end of his Soldano amps, that's why you hear the guitar "crying."
The early 1990s is regarded by many as one of the best moments of his successful carreer as a solo artist.
sorry, but there is no real magic in this performance. clapton should thank his lucky stars that he embraced the music of robert johnson and the blues, because it realy set him up to be one of the best playing black blues. T here are but a few songs from claptons past that i realy think were out standing,he will best be rememberd for his interpretation of blues. I only have the highest regards for daryls voice but he is out of his musical element in this performance, all in all, not to good.
@activemelody Daryl Hall and Chaka Kahn provided backup vocals on this song specifically on the studio album. It made for some powerful backup voicing.
Holy Sweet Jesus!! :+))

If EC ever guest-stars in Daryl Hall's webcast show "Live at Daryl's House," they should really perform this song together again

I love Hall and Oates, but Darryl seems to be off key or something.

@777butch777 Not off key at all. He does overpower Clapton though, since his voice is just stronger. Maybe they could've worked at blending better.

He knows there is a camera on him recording, so he's not letting her rip.
He's holding back.

Too bad they didn't shine a little light on the "great blond one", but I really loved this. Thanks for posting. I never knew Daryl sang with Clapton.
