I thing its a great idea, its fair and a good incentive to diet. Drug and alcohol abusers cant whine about discrimination. With people starving in the world why do we let food abuser away with it?

GTOW = Gross Take Off Weight
Every aircraft has a GTOW, based on it's design characteristics.
It is only justified to charge by the pound, if every seat on the plane is sold.
If there are empty seats...then there is no reason for it.
