"The goal should be to redefine sovereignty for the era of globalization, to find a balance between a world of fully sovereign states and an international system of either world government or anarchy." quote from Huckabee's foreign policy advisor Richard Haas (CFR President)...
Huckabee has sold his soul to the Establishment of anti-American globalists.
Mike Huckabee recently named Richard Haas (the President of the CFR) as his advisor on foreign policy. CNN's WOLF BLITZER asked "Who are your principal foreign policy advisers, Governor?" Mike Huckabee responded: "Well, I have a number of people from whom I get policy. I'm talking to Frank Gaffney, I talk to Richard Haas.."
if your thinking about voting for huckabee, and christian.....just think...would jesus want to fight this preemtive war, that kills innocent people in the process? or would he want peace. if you vote for peace, then discover ron paul. peace.
preemtive war is not moral. i don't know if you have any family in the war, but i do. we need to live in peace. there's a difference between isolationism and noninterventionalism. mccain leans toward the war mongering side, as he has invested a great amount of his life to this war. huckabee has advisers who are globalists. just look at ron pauls record and listen to him speak, he only speaks the truth regardless of what anyone thinks, and that is why so many people love him.
You really think that God isn't a vengeful one? Maybe you should reread the Old Testament then. I'm an ordained Southern Baptist minister who served in Iraq and it's called not cutting and running, rather than seeing things through. I have listened to Ron Paul, and his list of goverment agenices he wants to gt rid of, but your sadly mistaken if you think Paul is even interested in the Republican nomination, he's only running now for the exposure so he can run independent.
"Go up, my warriors, against the land of Merathaim and against the people of Pekod. Yes, march against Babylon, the land of rebels, a land that I will judge! Pursue, kill, and completely destroy them, as I have commanded you," says the LORD. "Let the battle cry be heard in the land, a shout of great destruction". (Jeremiah 50:21-22 NLT)
so then i'm guessing that your going to vote for that isolationist, conspiracy theorist wanna be conservative ron paul. john mccain said it best: ron paul type policies are what got us into WW2
Honor won't get you anything without the GOP in the White House and can't control teh military or opposition to the Democrats. America wants the Troops home. And the GOP will loose it all if they don't. Ron Paul 08.
Great video! Mike is the only candidate who is a true conservative: socially, fiscally, and on national defense. Any other nominee will fracture the conservative coalition and result in a Clinton Presidency.
No way, he is definitely not a Dem. Go to his site and read his plan for securing the borders. He has also signed the no new tax pledge and wants to do away with the income tax altogether. He is also pro-gun and pro-marriage. This guy is the real deal AND he can beat Hillary, that's why the liberals are trying to take him out now (HuffPo, et al.)
No no, he has a specific 9-point plan to deal with the immigration crises. That video is just a fun commercial he ran to introduce himself and to raise his name recognition. BTW, he is tied for 1st place nationally and is 1st in Iowa, Delaware, SC, NC and MI. He's second in many other states. Things are looking up.
I lived in Arkansas for 15 years and aparently your brother doesn't vote because a lot of the tax raises that he did.....we all voted for them. Your brother is a dumbass!
He's not a terrible candidate, but he fear mongers and uses too much rhetoric for my liking. I'd rather see Ron Paul win, or even Edwards win, before Huckabee, but I'd much prefer him over Giuliani or Romney.
When God asks you on judgement day why you supported the war, and you explain to him "we had to kill them before they killed us" what do you think he'll say? Maybe he'll ask you what his only son Jesus would have done. I understand if you're scared of worldly threats, we all are, but I would be more scared of the consequences of supporting death and destruction. We are supposed to follow the words of Jesus, not the words of men.
If you would like to see my response to this argument, and my observations of God's views on war, I have posted it on my blog. The link to the blog is in the video's info.
The Bible says we should follow the law of the land. The Law of our land is the Constitution. Huckleberry won't do that. Ron Paul is the Champion of the Constitution.
This is blatant manipulation. Why do you continue to remove my comments mentioning the part you edited out and the spin?
PAUL: No -- when we make a mistake -- when we make a mistake, it is the obligation of the people, through their representatives, to correct the mistake, not to continue the mistake.
This is one of the underlying principles of a Republic.
Don't remove factual comments. This reflects poorly on you. I don't see how you can call yourself a Republican.
A few things (so it's divided into several comments):
1. this video is NOT about Ron Paul! This is not an attempt to recreate the debate between them. If you would like to watch that clip, you're welcome to go find it and watch Huckabee wipe the floor with Ron Paul. Scroll up and search for "Paul Huckabee Surge" and it'll be the first video choice.
3. Ron Paul is completely off his rocker on this issue. I agree that we should correct the mistake, but running from our mistake is NOT the honorable thing to do, not the right thing to do. The only option to do what Paul says and CORRECT the mistake is to finish what we started.
"The only option to do what Paul says and CORRECT the mistake is to finish what we started"
Imagine you are in for surgery and need you left arm amputated because of gang green. You notice they start applying anesthetics to your right arm. Do you let them "finish what we started"?
1. You'd be unconscious, so the surgeon is who we're talking about.
2. The Surgeon (the U.S.) say, amputates the wrong arm (it actually happens in medicine), should they prevent infection and bandage it? Or should they just say "Oh no!" and leave the patient there?
Simply put, when we did damage to something, it's our job to do what we can to fix it, not to retreat and let others suffer for our mistakes.
If there is a obvious sign of danger from the mistake, and the fix is well known(cleaning/bandaging in this case) then yes fix it. However I would be much more cautious about the surgeon using unknown, and dangerous treatments on me.
The current situation in Iraq is not something that happens regularly, or has history on its side that shows a action of "stay the course" will work out for the people we are supposedly trying to help.
Not something history has shown? I'd suggest you look up Cambodia...Check out what happened when we stopped aid prematurely, before the government could handle it on its own.
It was one of the largest genocides of modern time.
Vietnam, and our excursion into Cambodia that led to the United States bombing, and killing a couple hundred thousand Cambodians is a perfect example of US blundering overseas. Our activity there helped Pol Pot gain support among the populace, and destabilized the country. Genocide happened, but would it have happened to the extent it did if the US was never there?
We aren't talking about whether or not it was a wise foreign policy decision to go into Vietnam or Cambodia in the first place. The point was that once we started the conflict, it was our duty to finish it, but since we didn't, genocide resulted.
The same goes for Iraq, except with the Khmer Rouge, we didn't know what they were capable of. With terrorists, we've seen firsthand.
Oh, and I'd love to continue talking about this, but if you have any further comments about this issue, I'd suggest we take this debate to my blog where posts aren't limited to 500 characters (the link to the blog is in the video info).
4. For the argument that says that the soldiers are God's children and thus by keeping them there we are murderers, if you are really concerned about all of God's children (not just those who have volunteered to fight injustice), then you would realize that overall, the number of lives saved FAR outweighs the number of lives lost.
I was saying all the people who died, including the 70,000+ Iraqis, were God's children; not just the soldiers. And your argument is one that says the ends justify the means, a philosophy that has been thoroughly discredited over the course of 1000 years of Christian philosophy and presented by its greatest thinkers. (Thomas Aquinas?) You cannot know that somebody will murder until they do; pre-emptive attacks are morally unjustifiable. You must think in terms of individuals, not collectives.
And Jesus... who told us to love our enemies. If we were to follow his example, then the kingdom of God would triumph not by inflicting violence, but by enduring it.
I agree. But I honestly think Huckabee and Paul hold similar objectives, it's just the *getting* there that I believe Huckabee has worked out more smoothly. I know America's gotten off track, but one can't throw us in the deep end without learning how to swim again. Plus I like the fact that Huckabee has executive experience.
Way to edit out the Ron Paul response about all the troops dying, and old huckster not having a response to that. Huckabee just tells stories, and spouts rhetoric, there is no substance. Just more of the same.
