I like it. That is about what mine is going to start out as. I am not going to have too much room. I look forward to watching the rest of your videos and looking for idea as well.
It's a good layout. I do have issues with videos that I have to constantly pause to focus on anything. Slow down and steady the Camera. It will help A LOT!
I see you use Kato Unitrack. I just got some, but can you tell me please, what types (length) of locos can I use on VERY tight radius curves ? Because of space constraints, I had to use 45 degree curves. What will work okay on those tight curves ?
Seems that if you are going to use the entire room then the door concept is less useful. Why not build some more free flowing benchwork that hangs from the walls on shelf brackets?
thats looking to be pretty good man looks better than mine right now i cant barly get any track for it and make it look decadence but your is really coming along really nicely, one thing that i think would look good is a train station for your amtrack trains or just a grain tower and a siding for that

Its 8 inch radius I must use. Is that what you are using in the tightest oval ? What Kato locos work best on these tight curves ? thanks

Looks good, but it also appears that there is no way for trains to return to the yard/staging area except by backing up.

Great start! Can't wait to see the finished layout . . . if it's ever finished. I too, used a door for my DT&I layout.
