Where you kill it pianojohn is putting those notes above the keys. It allows one to write them down and learn the song slab by slab. Then with a bit of practise you throw the paper away and play by memory and feeling. I can't thank you enough!

At the end when your left hand makes a run of octaves from a D to a G, if you play a D minor instead of the F Major, it sounds pretty good, too. It's no big change to the right hand, just move you index finger up a key to play A, D, F, A. Sounds pretty good.

hi , great playin first of all but can anyone tell me why there is a B flat in the key of C coz what i know bout music C does not have any sharps or flats in it please can someone help. Good tutorial tho well done>

the C scale doesn't have any sharps or flats, but that doesn't mean a song won't have any sharps or flats in it just because it's in that key

heck, i know billy joel songs that use every key on the piano within 4 octaves, black and white

Incidentals, or otherwise known as notes that are not in the key signature. Basically they are notes that do not correspond with the key signature. And yes, B flat is not in the key of C.
