  • um no just no i don't like this music it sucks! i like this cartoon version of the ghost busters the" real ghost busters"its alot better than the other 1. the other 1 is too silly and just doesn't catch the concept of ghostbusters. seriously? a bubble gum gun? no just no its terrible

  • Not bad, it would've been better if there weren't all those sound effects, but what are you gonna do?

  • I like it when the proton stream goes "aauuuuoooooooooo!" =)

  • WOW! I see why you made this! The syncrony is so purrfect it's almost scary it happened by random.

  • needs more Cowbell

  • Megusta un yingo

  • What happens if you do it backwards? As in.. real ghostbusters theme over the filmation one?

  • wait a minute . . . I am watching these two videos . . . WTF they sycnh way to well

    look at 0:38 through 52

the sound effects line up almost perfectly, when each individual ghostbuster takes out there particle ray THERE IS A BEAT OF THE DRUM

then it boings (stupid boing effect) exactly when the scene transition panel flips

NO,this is either done Intentionally, or this is proof of a god that loves ghostbusters

    or

  • amI the only one disturbed by how well these sync

  • фильм чмошный ну саундтрэк нештяк

  • Needs moar Lou Scheimer.

  • man...they made Janeane really HOT in that cartoon...

  • @KennySherman

Actually the Filmation one was the REAL real Ghostbusters. You just got brainwashed by the fakes using the word "Real" in the title. The first Ghostbusters was actually a live action show for kids and they had the same characters as the Filmation Ghostbusters, including the gorilla. Later the movie ripped off Filmation, so Filmation sued Columbia and got a court settlement in their favor. Filmation's version of the cartoon first aired 5 days before Real Ghostbusters first aired.

  • @Ikoris its a little to late to bitch now buddy, besides the two ghostbusters franchises have never truly been at odds with each other. I think these court battles you speak of are untrue.

They arent fake its just a different show with different character using the same name, concepts and names are not owned.

Its two different takes on a similar concept, they share the same name only because the name isnt really as important as the stories and characters

which, the new ghostbusters did better

  • @KennySherman

the filmation one is actually based on the black white saturday morning cartoon series of the late 60s. When the big budget Ghostbusters movie came out there was a lawsuit between the various people that had created the Ghostbusters movies and the other people which was eventually settled.

  • Wow this sync actually works!

  • @DanielBMS it actually works better in reverse.. with the RGB theme in FMG scene

  • Nice. I like how the organ music kicks in right when all the monsters come out, which has an even better effect than when synced to its original animation.

  • Now that would have been an awesome crossover.

  • you should check out 'The Real Ghostbusters intro with Sonic X theme' it's surprisingly accurate!

  • @HRbluetiger07 the Original Japanese version or 4KIDS F*CKED-UP version?

  • nice work!

  • Wow...these really do sync up a little too well.

  • BRILLLIAAAANTTTTTT!!!!!!!!

  • Sacrilegy!!!!!!!! hahahahaha

  • XD, weird but good

  • i heard the gorilla on 0:55 !!!!

  • Hoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

è con la stessa musica dell'altro filmato!!!!!!!

  • I love it how the high-five is almost perfectly synchronized with Janine's blown kiss!

  • This matches up surprisingly well

  • this is some real cartoon not in these days only bad cartoons old cartoons are even better then todays

  • man I remember this when I was a kid . Used to watch it after school those were the days

  • Not bad, but the ape grunting TOTALLY kills it! Now try the reverse: play Ray Parker Jr.'s theme over the Filmation opening!

  • Great mixture

  • Nothing personal but I prefer "The Real Ghostbusters" over "Fimations Ghostbusters."

  • Did you know Filmation created GBs first in 1975? then in 1985 they sued Columbia over the rights of the name.

  • @plantguy9 gosh, who doesn't? not that I've ever seen this in my life, but smells like plagio

  • @plantguy9 Wouldn't any Real Ghostbusters fan

  • @plantguy9: Same here.

  • @plantguy9 You're with the majority on this one, including myself

  • @plantguy9 well who wouldn't?

  • hahahahahahaha

    dude!!!! this was awesome!!!

  • I miss this! My favorite show

  • interesting

  • BAHAHAHAAA that's awesome! Great minds think alike? |D I love both versions so to me this is WICKED COOL!

  • It's scary to notice how good that filmation's Ghostbusters theme fitts with The (only) real Ghostbusters intro.

  • bwa HAAHAHA

  • i lol'd

  • this is really crazy!

  • the filmation's ghostbusters used to come on b 4 the real ghostbusters both were great but hardly n e 1 remembers filmations version they als had a live action movie

  • one of the ghosbusters is a black guy

  • Good stuff man dont mind the NUB ass haters, I liked all the ghostbuster incarnations including the EXTREME GBs :) Good times

  • dude, there's only 7 levels to Hell

  • Dude. It's just a cartoon. Jeez. And there are only 7 levels of hell.

  • Haha! Yeah, this is just WRONG! Haahhaahaa!

It's like playing Star Wars music on the Star Trek TV show opening credits scene.

  • who the hell was the blond guy

  • if i remember right....Egon.

  • EOGON HAS A NEW ACCOUNT CALLED EgonZegonBRZ

  • That's what was missing from the Real Ghostbusters theme! Not enough ape hoot.

  • filmation was a rip-off. I hope their assses get sued off in hell, and I hope Gozer's the Prosectutor!

  • actualy real ghostbusters and the movies are the rip off of filmations ghostbusters. and columba pictures was sued by filmation

  • i thought columbia pictures didn't have the right for the name and was sued by filmation

  • Fit perfectly... wow!

  • That is crap... No, wait a minute... Is blasphemy and crap, that song is totally gay ( the original is cool)

  • Actually Filmation created Ghostbusters before Columbia back in 1975 with a live-action TV show. They sued Columbia in 1985 for the rights of the name and wanted a hand in making the preposed GB cartoon but DiC was chosen so the two companies made an agreement to base each toon on each other's property of GB.

  • The only reason the music (w/ inherent sound effects) and this RGB intro work is quite obvious: Cartoon intros are generally supposed to be a minute in length. Both are a minute long, respectively.

  • It goes pretty good together. The only funny part is when they shoot their nuclear accelerators you hear a wolf. Sounds like the wolf sound is the nuclear accelerator.

Instead of zap you hear "aroooooo"

  • that is strange, they do work...

  • It would have been cool if the video was edited too to make the scene fit with the music. Like the phone ringing when we hear it ring ;) hahaha

  • this viedo is realy stupied

  • Your spelling and grammar is really stupid.

  • that was my friend. i told her not to comment on anything...i'll give her your message tho. shes used to it lol

  • Oh, well I am quite sorry about that then.

  • Wow, amazing how well those synched, yeah. It makes me wonder if, at about a minute in length, there was a general timing formula applied to kids' cartoon openings; like, "title screen at .05, hero reveal at .10," etc. I'd be curious what other minute-long show openings from this era would synch up.

Um... Filmation Ghostbusters was a bad show and I've watched way, way too much of it now. It's mesmerizing in its badness.

  • It's wild how well the other theme fits here. :53 is perfect. I enjoyed both toons as a kid and had both sets of toys. RGB was obviously far superior, and like every kid with glasses, I wanted to be Egon, but there was definitely room in my childhood world for two sets of ghostbusters.

  • why are there so many messed up versions of this?? this is not the ghostbusters music.

  • did you not get the premise of this video?

  • Nooooooooooooooo.............................this is wrong for so many reasons. That music is NOT the Ghostbusters.

  • That's right. That song is from the 1st Ghostbusters cartoons. Not the Real Ghostbusters.

    Such a creepy thing ;(

  • >.> im not religious, so I don't believe in hell, so your sentencing me to it makes no differance to me.

  • Freakish, but you're right, it matches!

RGB is still the best. Amazing stories and great characters. Like a beginner's Cowboy Bebop. Sort of. Nice matchup all the same, but RGB all the way!

  • ???your weird

  • Blasphemous!

  • The art direction and animation of this intro is much better and more timeless than the Filmation version. The Filmation animation style is very stiff and undynamic.

The Japanese just produce better looking TV animation, what else can I say?

  • yeah like Voltron. way to go japan. I think they tried to make that animation suck.

  • Ha... there are some god awful looking japanese animations out there. They turn out just as much cheep crap as we do.

  • Dude, I can compile the best looking TV anime and you can compile the best looking American TV animation and guess which compilation will blow people away. It's not gonna be Hanna Barbera and Filmation, I can guarantee that.

The Japanese are FAR better at producing action and drama animation. All the best animated intros of the 80s are from TMS and other anime studios, examples: Thundercats, Mighty Orbots, TMNT, Galaxy Rangers, Robotech, G.I. Joe, MASK, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, etc.

  • NERD WAR!

  • NERD WAR!!!!

  • This cartoon kicked soo much ass :D. Looking back on it brings back some great memories. Thanks for posting this. I just wish i could find the series on DVD :(.

  • Indeed...especially the episodes done by JMS--they show the level of story-telling he'd later bring to Babylon 5.

  • Absolutely. RGB had a surprisingly intelligent level of storytelling for an '80s animated series. The Citizen Kane episode and the one detailing Egon's past with the Boogeyman (their version of him was one of the most terrifying things ever! GOD, I can still hear that voice!) were just two great examples.

  • i completely agree with you, these cartoons, especially the first couple of seasons, were fantastic...one of my favs was the sandman episode, another creepy voice "why aren't you sleeping?"

  • @EgonZegon07: forget the comment from your other video... Now I got the other version, hehehe... Thanks for sharing.

  • This one matches up a lot better than the other mix.

  • Now Ive seen the other video for this and it is strange how they sync.

  • when I watch these mixed intro clips, I sometime mute the sound, and hear the theme of POWER RANGERS along with it. I wonder what it'd be like if THAT mixture would be possible?

  • your talking about the beginning music cord cause ya in a way it does sound similar to the power rangers just slowed down a bit

  • I was actually wondering if someone could create an AMV like that. For both THIS Ghostbusters, and the other one.

    Could someone please do that?

  • haha...It's funny

  • the reason why they called it "The REAL Ghostbusters" is because of stupid Filmation's version of their own ghostbusters.

  • lol. Filmation Ghosbusters sucked compared to the REAL Ghostbusters

  • Filmations Ghostbusters was actually based on the original Ghostbusters from the 70s.

  • yes

  • i think both are good

  • Very few parts match. Not as good the other way around.

  • That's an interesting match Filmation's Ghostbusters intro music with RGB opening credits

  • It does go together.

I loved Filmation Ghostbusters but didliked Real Ghostbusters.

  • Right ;)

  • Only one thing to say; they're two different concepts, but both released in the same decade.

  • Sweet.

  • You're right, it does match up...weird...

In all fairness, the theme was the only thing I liked about the Filmation Ghostbusters...couldn't stand to watch a second of it...Real Ghostbusters all the way!

  • Mm, nice. *looks up porn on his P-K-E metor*
