aren't you using a set up where you are sort of flicking it in to corners and letting the back of the car do some of the steering? like having the car feel very light and requiring lot of correcting at the wheel?

I understand this racing is more dangerous than most other types, but the driver should try being a little more aggressive, there are a few times when you are on line, but because someone is next to you you give up the position. I understand that I was not the one doing it and the situations may seem simpler than they were at the time, but when I see it happen more than once in such a short time (yes this video is short) some bells go off. No offense intended. Awesome race and awesome video

@fred19137 This racing requires the use of a brain. Sometimes you have to give up a position in order to maintain the momentum to not lose the slipstream to the leaders. If you lose that, you are racing for 4th and 5th place instead which is stupid. Look at him gesturing at 2:10 to think about the leaders instead of getting involved in your own private battle. You need to work with your competitors but need to beat them as well. It's a fine line.

Wow! Awesome race. There were a few moments that made me clench up, but it was all clean.

I recently got my SCCA novice permit in a US-spec FV (we still use the 1200 motor and drum brakes here in the States). Now I'm looking at whether I'll have enough money scraped together to get a couple races in late next year. I gotta do it, even if those two races I need to complete to get my comp license wind up being my entire road racing career.

I drive in UK Vee, i've also driven this track in 1977/8 in a Ford Falcon 500 the day before 1000 race. That was good close racing.

I am really getting into Formula V &

I have been researching a competitive & affordable racing competition here in Australia & Formula Vee seems to keep drawing my attention.

I really enjoyed this race though I was frustrated at seeing 3 cars abreast at several stages which meant you were stuck behind unable to attempt a pass.

I understand they were attempting passes too but would've liked to see them pass & drop back in to try again later or allow ppl like you to attempt a pass.

Far out. What a frustrating race that must have been for Tim. He did an awesome job of closing the gap to the front pack at the end of the first lap. And had to do it more than once.... It's criminal that the leader managed to get away at the end of the race, the guys jostling for second looked way too ragged in the closing laps. Did Tim end up with the fastest lap? Wouldn't be surprised if he did. Great video, thanks for posting. Cliff

What a race! Fvee is the best in the past and in the future! Slipstreaming,wheel to wheel reminded me Nascar with restrictor plate racing! But in a very lower $ Budget. Very exciting, really! Great thx for uploading!
