it's so unsafe that it got the highest safety rating by the IIHS & the NHTSA, and it's inefficient cause it only gets 32mpg the inline 4's are one of the most powerful it's class while the v6 does fall short by 50hp there better looking than the accord, camy , altima, and fusion and there very reliable

well okay, the new avenger sedan is an iihs top safety pick, but so is the accord (the camry sucks)

the 2.4L DOHC i4 in the sebring sedan produces 173 hp and gets 21/30 mpg while the accord's 2.4L i4 produces 192hp and gets 22/31 mpg

plus the accord's v6 has 36 hp more and gets 19/29 vs the sebring's 16/27. the accord has legendary reliability and even the camry is more reliable. styling is an opinion, but i think the new accord and fusion look fine. plus the new fusion hybrid kicks ass

Yeah the "2009" got a IIHS Top Safety Pick, while Ford and GM the past 2 years already had 16 and 8 Top Safety Picks.

2010 Fusion kicks ass on styling inside and out, high quality interior, excellent fit and finish. Very sporty handling and acceleration. Also one of the most fuel efficient vehicles in America. Runs circles around the Sebring and the Sebring's rear end is ugly as hell.

MPG: Fusion 4cyl 22/31, Hybrid 41/36 and people actually get this unlike Chrysler's exaggerated claims!

Not true, GM and Ford never had unsafe Gen3 Seatbelts that can unlatch in an accident in over 14 million 93-04 vehicles where they witnessed crash test dummies being ejected. Seats that collapse backward when driving in vehicles up to 2000, unsafe door latches where they had to duct tape doors in crash tests in some vehicles, substandard Fuel Rail and FI O-Rings that can cause engines to burst into flames in models up to 2000, no brakeshift where mothers were ran over, I could go on forever!

To continue, unsafe, defectively designed LH Platform Steering where drivers can suddenly lose control as inner tie rod bolts are known to snap and racks are known to go bad (93-'04 models), Balljoints prone to fail and snap off causing wheels to fly off on Durango and Dakota up to 2004. 2.7L Engine failures, timing chains snapping, coolant entering the crankcase, engines commonly consuming oil, seizing up at 60K while Chrysler blames the customer even when regular oil changes can be proven.

Durango Dakota wheel hubs that can suddenly seperate causing wheels to fly off, RAM Axles improperly manufactured that wheels can seperate from. LX Platform (Charger, 300, Magnum) suddenly bursting into flames, Chrysler doesn't know why doesn't care.

Tell that to the guy who's parents died in their newer 300C because seatbelts didn't restrain them AND airbags didn't deploy! I could go on forever!

That's correct, the previous Fusion had a sense of cheapness (so does the Sebring and Avenger and they still have it) although it wasn't a bad vehicle but Ford really greatly improved everything from styling to even better quality components inside and out. I'd take one in a heartbeat over any Chrysler any day!

I was amazed by the cheapness of the Sebring's interior and toy like plastics, what makes it worse is that people can pay up to 35K for the Sebring Convertible!

It might not be necessarily "unsafe", however it did NOT get the highest IIHS rating, which is a top safety pick. In 2008 Chrysler had ZERO Top Safety Picks while Ford had 16 and GM had 8. Now in 2009 Chrysler "finally" has 2 big wooptyf'ndoo. The highest DOT NHTSA rating is very easy to achieve.

I was amazed at the cheapness of everything especially interior, loud buzzy engine 4cyls and did NOT get nearly as good MPG as claimed.

Plus one can spend up to over 35K on one of these POS!
