Think about it....26 episodes....26 weeks (5 months)....That means the season 2 finale of AEMH will coincide with the Avengers movie July 2012 opening. It's a marketing/promotion ploy for the movie.

Red Skull will return. And I want him to be the head of HYDRA too. :D I even have a storyline in mind for a Season 3 finale (if they have a third season), where HYDRA (led by Red Skull) tries to take over the world. There'd be tons of superhero cameos, and referances, but I don't think they'd (FIne & Yost) accept a script by someone they've never heard of or have even met. Not to mention not working at Marvel, etc. Lol. But to answer your original question, yes, he will return. :)

In an interview for season 1, Chris Yost let said "You'll have to wait and see on both Ultron and Skull... there are reasons for the changes, but they're all part of the story. You'll be seeing Ultron before the Red Skull, though." That should be a good episode. :D

okey, why is iron man the leader? it should be cap, he has by far the best leadership skills, tony is just the guy with the mansion and all the kool gadgets that tell everyone whats up. Tony basically just tells everyone to attack, cap actually gives orders on what to do, I.e when they took down the giant wolf, he told everyone what they needed to do.

@JudgeGrif The first season certainly did an amazing job adapting the classic comic stories in a recognizable, but still very modern, form. In a way, AVENGERS has an advantage over JUSTICE LEAGUE in that their source material really did have much stronger plots to work with. JL's plots were 90% original to the series, I think because the comics didn't have the strong storylines the Avengers comics have always had.

@Champsr0ck2347 yeah, but i don't know if you've noticed the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) tension raising between captain america and tony. it also seems that the rest of the team listens to and respects cap alot more as a leader than they do tony. the moments where cap takes charge is happening more and more often towards the end of the season and i think there's going to be a passing of leadership soon (if the cap being a skrull story doesnt get drawn out too long)

Iron Man is a genius inventor and businessman who knows pretty much all the major players in government and the Marvel universe. Cap is, and should be, the "field commander", who leads in combat, but he wouldn't know what to do in the big picture.
