My dear, I think every Vietnamese are very WELL aware of this fact. They know it since elementary school. Actually it was initially called Jiaozhi, then Jiaozhou, then the name Annam came during the Tang Dynasty. So you don't need to tell me to study on this. But what does that have to do with Manchu qipao and Ao dai? I didn't to argue either but the some Chinese kept repeating that Aodai is a copy of qipao and I was politely reminding them Aodai came before qipao.
@hoasenhong Aodai is beautiful! Qipao may also is. However, as a Chinese, I don't like Qipao at all, not because it is not beautiful, but it represents a very bloody history and catastrophe for China. It doesn't belongs to Chinese, we were forced to accept this.
