I ralely couldn't say!!! Sam's was completely unexpected, and I was just speechless, then screamed and squealed etc at the screen. But with Dean's, it was much more emotionally intense because you knew it was coming there was more build up so it was more emotional. And the way he died - being literally torn apart while Sam watched, helpless to do anything - was really emotional. Jared's acting in Dean's death was one of the best performances he's done, I think.

I agree Sam's death is very sad ( i cried when i first saw it) But i have to admit Dean's death was worse then Sam's was.... Sam only felt "white hot" pain for a couple of seconds and just died... Dean however was ripped apart by hellhounds..... which took alot more time plus... it was alot more painful..... and Sam also had to watch which made it even more sad.... imagine what was going through Sams's mind at the time...... Poor guys.. :(

Sam's AHBL death scene is still pretty much the only thing on TV that makes me cry like a complete baby, and it was aired almost 4 years ago now. For me it's still the best death scene, if not one of the best scenes ever.

I don't cry too much when watching TV but when Sam unexpectedly got stabbed and died in Dean's arms, I was a wreck for a good half an hour at least. Dean's death was awful too because I kept thinking that they were going to be able to stop it in the end and they didn't. Both were unbelievably tragic, but I'd have to say Sam's because of how hard I cried during that whole scene.

I think Sam's death because of its unexpectedness and both their acting, was much more painful. Not that Dean's death wasn't painful as heck too. They were both great scenes, but Dean's sort of left me numb and Sam's left me crying.

sams death was more sudden, but Deans was more violent. Like on Sams, I was like "OH MY GOD! HE JUST DIED!" But on Deans, I knew he would die, but I was like "holy shiz! its tearing him apart!"

sam's death was a BIG surprize! but dean's death, throughout the whole episode there would be moments where you would see in deans eyes he was indeed sh*t scared and that made me cry. also when sam died dean's speech when he starts crying made me cry too. they were both very very sad and well done!

Sam's death ... but here's why. First of all, Sam had already died, and Dean had died a bunch of times in the mystery spot, I knew Dean was going to die, and of course I knew he'd be back. Sam's death was more sudden; it was new, it was unexpected, and it was just this great "OH MY GOD," yelling at the TV screen moment.

But mostly, really, it was Jensen's acting. The way Dean kept begging Sam to hold on, hugging his brother to him ... he made it more emotional for me.

Dean's death had me crying buckets. It was so emotional and the thing that made Sam's death good was Dean's speech and when he started crying. I mean I cried when Dean did (actually every time he did in the show). So even though we all knew Dean was going to die at the end and Sam's was unexpected I'd still say that Dean's was the best. So heartbreaking and emotional. I can't stand to see him in hell though. Tore my heart. Plus Dean's character is just so much BETTER than Sam's. XD
