Yeah, this is not a laser show, as there are no lasers! Once upon a time, the Pier did have a REAL laser show .. sometime in the early eighties. This is simply a light show, a decent one, but sorry this is no laser show..

I spent many a night in this place drinking beer back in the 80's when I lived in St. Pete. I used to berth the boat right next to the pier. They also had some hot looking female bar tenders.

There is a great hamburger joint about a mile and half south from the pier, but I do not recall the name. I had a great time when I lived in Florida, but then it went to hell in a hand basket with all the nuts from up North who moved there and thought they were boat captains.

You are right, laserist, this is an LED light show - on opening night of our LED's - New Year's Eve '06 to music. Whoever posted the video put "Laser Light Show" as the heading, but it's LEDs. We change them for different occasions - currently have a "gobo" of the Super Bowl logo with the SB colors of blue and green on the building.

I fish the sandbar to the right of the airstrip at dusk and I see all sorts of cool things,in the last few moments of sundown if you look across the bay 2 tall buildings next to eachother glow gold then 15 min later the pier starts changing colors... Kinda neat but watch out for sharks...!
