A wrinkly faced Galactic Emperor who tortures people with lightning from his fingertips, wants to rule the universe, has a huge army, encourages people to give into their anger and hatred and so on and so forth. The Master is Doctor Who's Darth Vader. Good guy to start off with, then rejects the Jedi/Time Lords and turns evil and then eventually turns good and saves the hero.

@TheLOLCOPPER Actually, I believe that there are two Sidious/Vader storylines within Doctor Who. Davros is Sidious and Dalek Sec is Darth Vader (black evil cyborg who turns good and sacrifices himself to save the hero) in one storyline. In the other Sidious/Vader Doctor Who storyline, Rassilon is Sidious and the Master is Vader because Rassilon was ultimately worse considering that he was the one who turned the Master evil just like how Sidious turned Vader evil.

David Gooderson did manage to capture the character's creepiness - I don't think it's fair that people knock his performance when they compare his to others. But I must admit, Terry Molloy had Davros down to a fine art.

I think every actor who has played Davros has brought something to the party... However, a small, small part of me thinks he shoild have stayed dead at the end of Genesis of the Daleks. It would have just been more poetic... But if that had been the case we'd have been denied further appearances of one of the best Who-bads on the show.

Molloy's Davros always amused me. He sounds like a slightly annoyed grumpy old man. Watch that clip from Revelation, starting at 1:07 or so. Now picture him saying that to his neighbor's rascally kids that put a bucket of water on his door again.

The Davros in Genesis has so much more depth than the other versions of Davros. The later ones after Wisher just turned the character into a "point and scream" one sided super-villain. Wisher's Davros had much deeper depth to it, and overall better character development.

I once saw Terry Molloy at a show, and he put on the mask and then as he spoke slowly turned it into Davros' voice and scared the hell out of me because it was nightmare from childhood right in front of me. He may have had some awful writing to work with, but Molloy did get the job done. Much better than what David Gooderson did anyway. Though Michael Wisher remains definitive for me.

I think he went overboard when he said that and it became a little too comical but Davros naming the Doctor The Destroyer of Worlds is his best line because it shows he knows what to say to hit the Doctor the hardest even at his end.
