This guy is so full of shit. Every answer is practiced. He never gives a clear answer or position on any topic. And his ideas and positions on many topics have double standards. Its ok for US to do something but not for russia.
And yet most overlook that question and keep pointing the finger at russia, even though the cold was has been over for almost 20 years and russia now is very different from what it was.
You say Russia is very different and I agree, the populace is different. As it is in the US.
But we still have a large amount of the same policy makers, military intelligence, etc from the era.
I don't think these people truly understand its over. I don't think they know how to operate without war, at least not here in the states. And thats why we are involved in so many international events, but never the truly morally justified
I agree that on both sides many people from cold war era are still in government, but one side, i think is trying to make peace more than the other. Russia isnt putting missiles on US border
Ohh, come on...those are for "Europe's Defense" (sarcasm)
I think both sides have some blame to share, but over the last 30 years its been the US going out and carrying on like an imperial power. Its embarassing.
I liked that sarcasm bit, as for 30 years of imperialism, we can cut that down to the past 18, since anything before is ok due to the fact that the cold war was still going on
In a volatile Eurasia, the immediate task is to ensure that no state or combination of states gains the ability to expel the United States or even diminish its decisive role. (Zbigniew Brzezinski, A Geostrategy For Eurasia, Foreign Affairs, 1997).
Since corpoarte socialists use the Silk Road Strategy Act/1999 mentality as a blueprint for dominance in Euraisa, the man is respected by far too many.
The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives reflects the demented schemeing of Anglo-American oil interests.
These viewpoints are de facto imperial policy positions in Washington.
"To put it in a terminology that harkens back to the more brutal age of ancient empires, the three grand imperatives of imperial geostrategy are to prevent collusion and maintain security dependence among the vassals, to keep tributaries pliant and protected, and to keep the barbarians from coming together." (p.40, The Grand Chessboard by Zbigniew Brzezinski)
Since Obama is clearly Jimmy Carter's 2nd Term, the last person he should want to get close to is Jimmy Carter's NSA, 'Zbig'.
'ZBig' wrote a wacko book, the Grand Chessboard during Clinton's presidency.
Think Tankers put out books all the time with all kinds of viewpoints. That doesn't make their views policy. Most of 'Zbig's viewpoints are superficial veneer covering his Dem views.
Averageworkinggal is listed as 86 years-old. Perhaps she does represent the average working American with no pension left from the Corporate Socialist vultures. Life is about living, not slaving (there really is a difference).
What both sides of the aforementioned coin represent is the domination and manipulation of world markets for Corporate Socialists to ensure profits for the consolidated fraction of the global population dedicated to socialism for the rich. As for the American Peace Dividend, guns (legal or otherwise) have always been more profitable than butter. Just ask The Carlyle Group.
The Neoconservative (so-called) New World Order is being attacked from patriots within the United States political, military and intelligence establishments. It remains to be seen what pull the Project for the New American Century crowd can muster at this late stage of the current lame duck presidency. The opposite of the Neocon coin as exemplified in the geopolitical philosophies of Zbigniew Brzezinski is just as dangerous.
weird24, the idiot Hate America ideologue from Ireland.
There is no Neocon NWO.
The Neocons were simply people who tried to reverse the disastrous effect of the 'Peace Dividend', aka the drastic military cuts under the Clinton Admin., by pointing out that while all Gulf War I divisions were rated C-1 (combat ready), no division in the Army after the 'Peace Dividend' was rated C-1.
They also argued correctly that 'containment' of Iraq would inevitably fail and that Saddam had to go.
"For America, the chief geopolitical prize is Eurasia... Now a non-Eurasian power is preeminent in Eurasia - and America's global primacy is directly dependent on how long and how effectively its preponderance on the Eurasian continent is sustained." KIEV, August 22 (RIA Novosti) - Ukraine's opposition party has pledged to send 365 neckties to Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who was recently caught on camera nervously chewing his garment while discussing the Georgian-Russian conflict.
America invariably breaches and dishonors all of her promises and treaties that it signed in conflicts from/with the Native American Indian Tribes through/to modern day Iraq. Facts allow one to arrive at the obvious assocations. Time to wake up. This global conversation has only just begun.
Is it true that Michail Suka Shvilli is Stalins relative? As you know Stalin was Georgian he and his troops as KGB made a lot of harm for Soviet Republics, not only for Russia! So Suka Shvili wants to make the same carrier as Stalin?

Richard Armitage serves his Corporate Socialist masters well, being awarded the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service four times, the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Award for Outstanding Public Service, the Presidential Citizens Medal, presented by the President to citizens who have performed exemplary deeds of service, and the Department of State Distinguished Honor Award.
Richard Armitage is a Corporate Socialist Neo Conservative (and is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, as well as one of the signers of the January 26, 1998, Project for the New American Century; but he's better known as one of the Iran-Contra plotters, along with the ilk of Oliver North and other CIA drug runners and murderers).
lol, Armitage is applying for a job with the Obama future administration.
It is interesting that he said in areas of disagreement with Russia he would make Russia known by "speaking in measured tone..."

I'm amazed at the shear lunacy of these Hate Rissia Corporate Socialists, like socialismfortherich275. Try the Expanded NATO and Broken ABM treaties and the massive CIA funds pumped into sordid activities in the Baltics. US defense cuts of the 1990s were directed toward soldiers (human beings and their families), not weapons. The SORT treaty of 2002 contains nominal reductions, limits deployed strategic warheads to 1,700-2,200, with no timeline. Russia participates in NATO (uh, not really).

As Armitage declined to state, democracies bought and paid for by Corporate Socialists are a threat to middle and working class peoples in every nation on the planet. Expanding NATO is not moving 20 armored divisions on the border of Russia to threaten it, it's about unnecessary provactions using technology in the spirit of defecating on broken ABM treaties. US conventional forces are rather busy imposing corporate socialism in Iraq and securing the (CIA) poppy fields in Afghanistan.

As Armitage said, when Gen. Akhromayev said NATO was a 'threat', it's laughable to the west, having to stare down 20+ Soviet armored divisions across the Fulda Gap, that democracies are a threat. Democracies are governed by the 'Rule of Law' which prohibits 'Rule of Men', Cult of Personality, totalitarian expansionist dictatorships like the USSR. Expanding NATO is not moving 20 armored divisions on the border of Russia to threaten it. The US has almost no conventional forces in Europe now.
WWI came to be due to the string of alliance the nations had with each other. That's what NATO will set off it continues it's expansion of it's sphere of influence into Russia's backyard whether those nations surrounding Russia consider themselves to be in that or not. NATO is a relic of the past. There's no soviet union or Cold War as we have been told.
no more cold peace, cold war now!, I talked the company I am with from making a $150,000,000 investment in rus. As a writer once said rus is the "turk of the north" a cruel barbaric people that needs to be surrounded and marginialized! A petty backward, and primative race!

Yeah, I thought my memory was correct on that one.
Armitage was the one who actually leaked Plame's name, but Scooter Libby was the only one convicted (then subsequently pardoned) of a crime.
There has been so many corrupt, criminal individuals in the Executive Branch (Clinton and Bush Presidential Administrations) and Legislative Branch (Congress: The House of Representatives and the Senate) lately that it's hard to keep track of them all!-LMAO
He was convicted for perjury (the act of lying or making verifiably false statements on a material matter under oath or affirmation in a court of law or in any of various sworn statements in writing).
elbabun and ironfistrule: I appreciate your honesty. Now everyone can watch who is talking and revealing all the truth which western media has gone gaga and branded wrongly as an aggressor. Shame on them!!
If you ask me the "Cold War" "Heated Up" when the Soviet Union fell apart. That's what all of this has been about. If the Bush administration was not such a lose canon on the world stage I think we would be taping the EU on the shoulder saying "WTF".
It was not meant to be a "Hate" America line, or anything specific toward ICBM treaties. I just think when the Soviet Union fell apart tensions along the "East Front" in Europe got worse.
Wasn't sure if you meant me or "Dupe" you seem to know more about geopolitics than me. I Don't have many "Stats" I guess YouTube is not a place you can expect an intellectual conversation. Keep fighting the good fight averageworkinggal...
This is a new cold war with Missile Sheild being installed in Poland and Czechs. In the old Cold War the US was installing Jupiter missiles in Turkey in the 1960s.
You're just another fool spewing on subject matter you know nothing about.
You don't know diddly-squat about the US GMD Euro-site.
It has nothing to do with Russia, but russian paranoia has bought into a notion that it is.
10 measely hit-to-kill interceptors are not offensive weapons. Nor are they placed in a position in Poland to protect the US from over-the-pole shots by russian nukes. They don't have the velocity to tail chase and catch. Russia has 7200 nukes.
The BS is that missile shield is for rogue states like NKorea and Iran. Iran's shehab-III does not have the range to be a threat to the West since it barley makes it past Turkey into Bulgaria or so due to it's range being less than 1.5km or so.
Got to agree with you on that. But I think the thing the Russians are pissed about is weapons sales in general. Why should they stop if no one else is going to...
Russia and US were either friendly or outright allies during US' first 135 years of its existence. Communist ideology in Russia is no more, they just want us to accept their mini-Monroe doctrine of eminence in CIS. Reasonable expectation... if we already had an enemy to scare population. Too bad "war on terror" did not prove to be a reasonable scare for people.
"russia is more of a democracy now than usa" - i wonder how many dickheads believe in this (not counting Russian state where they basically conduct Putin's genocide line)...
lol I see that you are from Kuwait. Trust me Americans don't know about Kuwait culture, nation etc., they just know that here is American oil. And by the way your are not gate keepers at all but they are. Back in 1989, how Americans allowed to Saddam occupy. Answer is , that make a cause and weaken your econ. after Americans can profit own dollar. Just think about after second W. War in Europe how was good for American cowboys call the dominant , CHEERS!
I am not from kuwait, I am from Georgia. At the time of registration on utube I was in Kuwait....
Well.. We can agree and disagree.. What americans did in Kuwait was a right thing. What they did in Iraq was wrong. In my opinion this was really a huge mistake that put a lot of question marks on the intention of US. However whatever the case I am even not going to compare fucking Russian emprie of Evil to US. The russian government is an embodiment of evil that one only can think in nightmares.
You are Georgian ! I'm sorry what's happened in Georgia right now. It cant be that Russia use deception tools that to pull Georgian Ossetia Abkazia in to integrity of Russia and that's the shame. As we know that fact Americans pulled the
trigger to recognise Kosovo and call them Kososvianian nationality. There is no point to discuss further what the reaction of Russia and some other countries.I was born in Lithuania but i never hold Lithuanian passport......
Vilnius south path of Lithuania when polish nationalist start rising to declare independence from Lithuania. At the same time was Poland trying to protect polish rights in that region. But Uncle Sam stepped and slowed down Poland. West part of Lithuanian they think that they belong coturaly and istoricaly
to Germany and now they have own sub passports . After Kosovo they getting back on track again about attempts ......
to become in depended. So my uTube bro there would be many countries with the same dilemma like yours after some delay. The way how they healing countries in Balkan , Middle Ease region same way they will heal your country too. And after all let we say i wont be wander, after being best friend of US you would replace Osama Bin laden. Your country so and my, another slaves to dollar. Like Lithuania so and Georgia suffer form huge corruption, inflation, etc.....
...... that we can attract WTC's Jews. Simply we are becoming a toys of political games of big countries. Trust me Russia can turn off the light for all EU including your country too, if they would want to. Hehehe, it sad but it's true gog-eat-dog. By the way Russian evil empire doesn't exist . Russia is week and extended territorial claps is on the way.....
.... To prevent that is only way how Russia would continue develop democratic rubble. What the fuck my saying here ? Is it dollar democratic ????? (with logins shit like that "Good with us " , pyramid symbol showing US dollar on the top of pyramid , another Soviet Union). And cut ! ;-) I love Georgian shashlic with wine mmmmmm.!!!
Why does Russia Today insist on putting on random people with agendas?
By the way, Russia isn't a democracy. Putin is still in power. He changes your constitution at will and he's ruining your economy in the long run. He's trying to take control of foreign partnered businesses in Russia (such as the BP oil there) and this will drive investors out of Russia. Your economy will suffer because he's power hungry.
Is the view that Russia is guilty by default without agenda? This is "if they are not with us, they are against us" logic. Lenin did use the same logic against "enemies" of revolution.
There are a lot of people here in states who thinks that Bush's election was under very foggy surcumstences ... far from perfect democratic principles. As long as our military industrial complex needs an enemy, Russia is can be a voicless bunny and a "friend" or independent player - our enemy.

There has been so many corrupt, criminal individuals in the Executive Branch (Clinton and Bush Presidential Administrations) and Legislative Branch (Congress: The House of Representatives and the Senate) lately that it's hard to keep track of them all!-LMAO
blunt1984 3 years ago
Nobody, including Scooter Libby, was ever charged with leaking Plame's name.
Libby did not leak it.
averageworkinggal 3 years ago
I know.
I said "convicted of a crime".
Not convicted of the leak.
He was convicted for perjury (the act of lying or making verifiably false statements on a material matter under oath or affirmation in a court of law or in any of various sworn statements in writing).

This guy should run for president. Not everyone is on Georgia's side. Most intelligent people will agree that we need Russia more than Georgia.

If you ask me the "Cold War" "Heated Up" when the Soviet Union fell apart. That's what all of this has been about. If the Bush administration was not such a lose canon on the world stage I think we would be taping the EU on the shoulder saying "WTF".

I'm amazed at the shear lunacy of these Hate America Lefties, like dupe-tuber275.
Try the 'Peace Dividend' and the massive US defense cuts of the 1990s.
The SORT treaty of 2002 under Bush and Putin which further drastically reduced the nuclear arsenals.
Russia participates in NATO.

Very nice. I wish I could live in your dreamworld.
Wanna take a guess at how many nukes US and Russia have left?
CloanLabs 3 years ago
It was not meant to be a "Hate" America line, or anything specific toward ICBM treaties. I just think when the Soviet Union fell apart tensions along the "East Front" in Europe got worse.

Russian leaders are familiar with this popular ideology in our governemnt: watch?v=pTwdiC5jQ-I
Our recent actions with inviting Geargia and Ukraine to NATO supports those fears.
Our inverstors in miiltary connected companies rejoice.
We, like idiots, pay taxes.
Fair and square....

At least he's fair minded at times.
This is a new cold war with Missile Sheild being installed in Poland and Czechs. In the old Cold War the US was installing Jupiter missiles in Turkey in the 1960s.

Bullshit ,vit Rex.
Russia has 7200 nukes.
averageworkinggal 3 years ago
The BS is that missile shield is for rogue states like NKorea and Iran. Iran's shehab-III does not have the range to be a threat to the West since it barley makes it past Turkey into Bulgaria or so due to it's range being less than 1.5km or so.
VitruvianRex 3 years ago
Got to agree with you on that. But I think the thing the Russians are pissed about is weapons sales in general. Why should they stop if no one else is going to...

A good leverage to halt US. to get the missile shield in Poland.
Putin has to do the same in Syria.
We are all looser.
Russia Rocks The American dream is dead!

Very balanced voice of reason...

US Take away the missile shield in Poland!!!
Step down World Dictator Bush impeach him.
Never again have a Media war and 1000 people talk back and forth with crazy anchors.
who lets Saakshvili get all the airtime.
Russia is more of a democracy now than USA.
over 2 million people has been killed since Bush War on terror started.

Vidas666 3 years ago
But i new that 1990 Lithuania could start losing
Vilnius south path of Lithuania when polish nationalist start rising to declare independence from Lithuania. At the same time was Poland trying to protect polish rights in that region. But Uncle Sam stepped and slowed down Poland. West part of Lithuanian they think that they belong coturaly and istoricaly
to Germany and now they have own sub passports . After Kosovo they getting back on track again about attempts ......

Kick him out of office.
ImperialEmpire 3 years ago
Is the view that Russia is guilty by default without agenda? This is "if they are not with us, they are against us" logic. Lenin did use the same logic against "enemies" of revolution.
elbabun 3 years ago
There are a lot of people here in states who thinks that Bush's election was under very foggy surcumstences ... far from perfect democratic principles. As long as our military industrial complex needs an enemy, Russia is can be a voicless bunny and a "friend" or independent player - our enemy.
