Sliders S05 - 1º Intro

Probably the only great part about the last season of Sliders, was the short cameo of the fake Professor Arturo.

It was kind of funny how the show tries to teach that "enough fan feedback can bring back a character." - Yet, that never happened, ever. I don't even think John wanted to be part of the crap Sliders became.

However, the scene with the fake Professor chuckling going "Oh hoho!" while opening the vortex was priceless.

Episode one (intro) was great, but season three was the best. THE LAST SEASON SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!! It needs to be destroyed, you can't change Quin without him there is no sliding. Maybe the Actor. Our Quin's mind in new body. The idea of you having a double with the same DNA and looking nothing alike is just stupid, and imposible.

Pretty cool series, I really love such amazing ideas on TV. Really makes you think and have some curiosity about complex theories like M-Theory.

Jerry left because the studio refused to let him be executive producer and basically run the show in the direction he & the cast wanted as he was less then pleased with what David Peckinpah had done season 3 & 4, Jerry had allot of film directors offering him film roles that paid better money he needed a good reason to justify staying on the show ultimately sci-fi refused to negotiate, he wanted his brother to Charlie stay on but he wouldn't do it without Jerry & left too.

I used to love this show and now the dvds are super cheap. Amazon com is selling seasons 3 & 4 in a double pack for $21 ($25 after shipping)

@powerstruggle55 yeah the double back dvd was always backordered. but they have it back up again. i just ordered mine for 27 bucks. which is a great deal. i already have the 1st two season double packed. just glad the 3 and 4th season r double packed again cuz it is so cheap. instead of paying 50 for the 4th and 28 for the 3rd separately

@powerstruggle55 i kinda do regret now not watching the 5th season when they showed reruns of it on sci fi back in the day. but i just couldnt stomach it after the 1st ep and them doing what they did to quinn. but kinda curious to know what all happened. lol i think fans hated the 5th so much they refuse bring it to usa on dvd lol. only germany has it. lol yeah true fans like us, none of my friends even heard of sliders

I personally think the series started getting bad after the second season, in season three the show had a different feel to it, one which I did not like, the effects started to look horrible, considering that the first 2 seasons had some of the best effects ever seen on tv. honestly, I think they should of ended it in season 2, they should of had one or 2 more episodes to end the series there, with all the ORIGINAL sliders getting home.

@HogHunter8958 totally, the 3rd season really fucked things up with the network wanting to have monsters, a bad guy and lots of sexy women on the show. i dont mind sexy women but for a show like this u really didnt need it. still havent seen the 4th season but i bought the double pack of the 3rd and 4th season on dvd. since the creator stated that the prof. was the wrong one who slide it would be cool if they made a movie showing what happens to remmy and the others and bring quinn and pro back

I thought it was awesome in season 1-4 but it got stupid when Jerry O'Connell wasn't Quinn anymore I was so startled when the Professor died but I only stopped watching it around season 5 I hated that season...

This had to be (in my opinion) one of the most original and entertaining science fiction shows ever made. The premise was truly awesome and many of the story lines were pure genius, would love to see it re-born.

Jerry O'Connell got out when the getting was good. Just as the storylines started going straight in to the toilet.

Was great at the beginning. Cool cast. Awesome concept.

The very best episodes have a quite average theme song. When the theme songs got great, episodes started to become bad.

i remember watching this into on tv for the first time...and i prolly had the biggest WTF moment of a lifetime when i saw that rammy is doing the voice over and there is no jerry or charlie in the credits! hahai wish they brought sliders back...maybe a spinoff with new characters, a good budget and some interesting stories...i mean look at 91210..the remade that..they can sliders...and maybe jerry can have a cameo role in one of the episodes

I feel you. I haven't seen many Sliders but enough to know how much the cast changed and who they were. This was the worst cast ever. And having one brother disappear and the other merge with the alternate self or whatever that was, GIMME A BREAK!

Darn, I grew up on this show. Forgot all about it... well... not really. I remember something about a dinosaur and vampires and a motel with a haunted floor. Wow those are random memories. :P

Sliders lost it's charm when Jerry O'Connell left the show. I stopped watching it after he was gone that is the best Quinn Mallor in all of Sliders the new guy was nothing...

I remember when I saw this into in the first ep of season 5 on tv and i was like OH NO. I knew things were different if Quinn wasn't doing the intro. Show was still ok, but just not the same.
