Were you able to install it? I'm planing to use same method but not sure what will happen if i pound this thing on 4 - 5 feet clay layer, will it go easily?
@3333ramirez It has a wire screen inside to keep the dirt out. You usually do not have to prime it with water to get it going. You just pound it in the ground like a steel fence post… I don't know if they get bent when you pound it in... you will never be able to pull it out to check. Thanks for watching
You can also set up a frostproof hydrant...only issue is matching the size to the galvanized pipe. I think most of their sizes are 1", so if you had 1 1/2" or 1 1/4" galvanized in the ground, you'd need a reducer.
They typically run around 50 bucks at Lowes/Home Depot. They go about 3 feet deep.

where does the dirt go as you pound the well point in the dirt?
do you need to add water ?
and does the small holes on the well point get bent as you pount it in the dirt
