Yeah someone told me today it's considered rude in Japan to talk on a cellphone in a train. Indeed I've never noticed anyone talking on a cellphone in a train there. Sometimes text messaging or listening to music with earphones yes. A lot of people sleeping though. Probably because of lot's of hard work.

Japan, on the other hand can be defined by following others. They do what everyone else is doing. The nail that sticks out gets hammered down. There is much less independent thinking.
