@focus2aus That's absolutely incorrect. The Crash album was released on 4/30/96. This is from 6/11/96. Not to mention Crash into Me was played at this show.
This (Toy Soldiers) is a defunct seque between Nancies and Warehouse that has no relation to Crash Into Me or any other known DMB song. Check dmb almanac.
Its what you don't know, you don't, that gets you in trouble.
I have never in my life herd anything so true. its so right (no Dave reference intended) I would love to spend one day hanging out with this modern day philosopher. Id bet we'd get high....wait that shits illegal, i'd get arrested.

Dave hardly moved at all during this concert. He mostly just stood there with a guitar in his hand. He only moves in 30 second increments. Must be the orthopedic shoes he wears for the gout.
is there any way you could send me the mp3 file for this? or tell me how i could get this? i'm so glad there's someone on youtube who posts these awesome jams/covers/rare songs.
I gotta say thanks for posting this I've been a DMB fan from the first time I heard Ants marching on the radio when I was like 8. Anyway I had never heard this before randomly running across it on youtube. And I must say this is my favorite Dave song.Too bad they only played it 3 times in June of 96. I'm holding out hope maybe they'll play it again randomly someday, they did bring back #34 after 12 years and more recently the Water-Wine Jam after 13 years so maybe I'll get lucky. Thanks Again.
Wow, where the heck did this come from? I love this. It's earthy, it's organic, it's, it's...DMB! I shouldn't be surprised but I am...pleasantly. I want more, more, more, more!
Has anyone heard the version they played at pine knob in 96 or know where to get a digitial copy. The version I have is pretty rough. It was amazing. Best live performance I ever saw. The lyrics were fantastic in that version. "Rocket for the fireworks...we'll celebrate...rocket to the moon...I celebrate....but the rocket to the city, to the homes I hold sacred..." .
I don't know that you can call this a "lost song" since it is an early version of crash into me

This is grade A+ rare material. This is when he just mumbled things along to the beat wearing funny clothes. Gahd I miss those days.
