  • One of these days Alice!

  • You know I've seen thousands videos with dobermans, because I truly love this breed ,but I really think your videos are the best ,maybe is time to post a new one?Congratulation on these two realy great dogs.

  • @sagge2007

Thank you very much for your kind words.

As for the new video... it is in the works!

  • LOL

  • 1:36

"Uh.... what do i do now?" o.o

    1:44 - 1:54

It almost look like a slo-mo dramatic attack towards the kid, until the kid did it in reverse. That is the funniest thing I ever saw bewtween a kid and a dog.

Also, I noticed they are both imitating each other.

  • your poor neighbors...

  • we got a 12 monts old female doberman, lovely dog, she only speaks when she got something to say, if there is someone getting to close to the house that she does not know or when out playing and looses sight uf us. real great with children and relaxed innside, only damage was a workshoe of mine and a owenmit she totaled hehe.

one of the best familydogs i think:)

first dog i have gotten as a puppy,

  • Funny dog! It looks like he would keep barking until...his voice gave out! Sounds like he'd keep barking for hours just because he likes to bark. Dobermans must be quite vocal? And they're kind of goofy. Ha ha, and he rolls his head around on the floor, all the while barking, so funny...(0:40)

  • @mutts842

Indeed, Dobies are usually very vocal, and goofing around is their favorite pastime...

    (c:

  • beautiful dogs i've always had dobermans in the family ever since i was little and i plan to carry on my mothers tradition and raise my little ones with dobermans they're so faithful every single one we've had has been a loved family member. RIP Cassie & Shannon.

  • My doberman died on the 3rd of december due to GDV (twisted stomach) at the age of 4 :'( poor bugger. :( just to let everyone know, if you have a deep chested dog and dont know what GDV is PLEASE search it up as it could save your dogs life if you read about the preventions and symptoms. GDV is the second biggest killer in dogs and we had never heard of GDV and my dad has had 2 other dobermans that lived to old age.

Vets dont seem to say anything anymore about prone diseases in dogs nor breders

  • i miss my Doberman. R.I.P

  • kid almost got his face bit off... lol just sayin

  • lol the dog is annoyed the kid is imitating him heheh

  • i know why you got the dog.... very cleaver

  • Great vid, this one. Brings back sweet memories...

  • LOL this dogs like stop making fun of me i've got a reputation to uphold!!!

  • ooowww!!!

i love it how he comes forward but doesn`t bite the boy!

    sooo cute =)

  • I love this video. Some might see it as encouraging aggressiveness in the Dobie but it is, in fact a true bond and mutual trust which the loyal doberman will never break.

  • when they both lay their heads on the floor and still bark..........that is when you can tell the dobbie is just "MEAN".........lol

  • I love how the pup just looks confused at one point.. Then he's all what the hell Ill work with this.

  • This might sound weird but, the boy reminds me of a younger version of my boyfriend O_o;

  • lol

  • LMFAO @ 0:47...i dont know who i love more, the kid or the dog.

  • The dobie looks back at 1:27 to make sure mom is still ok with this :)

  • That is one badass dog. It would never hurt that kid. I have a massive Doberman named Zeus and he's very friendly, but aggressive at the same time. A few months ago, I left to go to the store and left him at home. Someone broke in and Zeus turned his arm into shredded cheese. He called the cops on himself because my dog wouldn't let go of him. I got back right before the cops did, told him to halt, sit, and stay. Then the criminal took off and the cops gave chase. He's still in jail. Zeus is th

  • Please check out my dobes and sub if you like I will do the same thanks everyone

  • Nice dobermans! If I go to U I will be scared more of this on the left. :D

  • I love how the dogs play biting till he gets to close and knows when to stop

shows that dogs do care and learn.

  • Hahah!! So awesomeee :X Luv it! :D

  • my thoughts are most dogs will not attack you if you respect them. I have been bitten by a dog before, but it was because he had been abused by a boy about my age when he was a puppy, so I couldn't blame him. Seriously though, dobermans as is the case with all large dogs assuming you respect them and of course provide lots of love and attention. Cute video!!!!!

  • LOOOOOOOL best part 00:44

  • Let me guess.. the dog raised the boy?

  • 1.23minutes the dog made out he was gona bite him

  • Hollywood totally ruined the reputation of these dogs. Over the past 60 years, reputable and responsible breeders have been working to remove the aggressive nature but still leaving the loyalty and the guarding instinct. They're now more prone to warn than take action. Of course, training and socialization has a lot to do with it, too.

  • @velvetsnape

Dobermans are called "dogs with human brains" for a reason. They can be taught to do practically anything - from killing on command to fetching you a cold beer.

The popular narrative today is that the "doberman aggressiveness" is being "bred out" in America... In reality, just like with humans, a Dobie can be raised and trained to be as aggressive or submissive as the owner wants it. Just like a parent with a child, it is ultimately the owner who determines the dog's character.

  • @arbooz2000 ive never heard a doberman called that

  • @velvetsnape Hollywood lies and ruins most things!

  • This is a wonderful video, this dog will NEVER bite this kid. Once you go doberman there is no other dog you can ever have.

  • @mitchelldshelby

    Thank you.

  • @arbooz2000

youre little boy is so sweet ^^ and the dog too =)

  • @mitchelldshelby I agree,, the dog is awesome,, I had a huge German Shepard, 150 pounds,, he scared the hell out of all who came into close proximity, but when they came in the house and were introduced,, he was a gentle beast,... because he was raised and treated correctly ..., even sheriffs deputy's pulled me over when he was in my truck.. trying to buy him,, or his stud service,, but then he died one day unexpectedly and it was a sad day

  • @mitchelldshelby yeah but all it takes is one dog to snap and the entire breed is viewed as dangerous, all because some idiot tormented one

  • @mitchelldshelby so lets say i owned a doberman, then i decided to get a golden retreiver... would i explode?

  • @mitchelldshelby After our female Dobie died from cancer, I let my wife pick the next dog. She picked a male Weimeraner because she liked the pictures from the William Wegman calendars. Way different type of dog. So high strung and anxious. I've worked with him, and love the dog (he really latched on to me, wife hates it). When we're ready for another dog, I'm getting a female Dobie again.

  • @mitchelldshelby

thats something you can say about every breed, because every dog becomes a true family member / friend ;) i never had a dobe, however i love them

  • one brave kid

  • Same like AYLEN (my Dobie), she play with Hamsters like that and one turtle, very very good dog! never i repeat never has a bad behavior, she protects all my family, the only problem are little dogs haha, when she view big dogs never a problem but a little dog appears she afraid like puppy. ;)

  • when that kid grows up and gets himself a nice gf his mom is gunna load youtube and show this clip..... lol

  • dobermann is like "there is no convicning that kid"...

  • LOL at 1:17

  • This is too funny!

  • This boy will be eaten soon!!!

  • Which one is the doberman?

  • lol dog talk

  • i want people who think DP are visious dogs to see it.no hard feelings but if that kid did that to a human he would break the humans nerves and get punished!!!!that doberman was so patient that i personally salute it

  • i don't think this is funny...the dog could really hurt him.....

  • @artynr1

That is what you call a well trained and very well loved dog. The owners are sure of him and able to read his body language well enough to know that he is playing with the boy, but still respectful.....

  • @artynr1 no he cold not... dobermann is the most if not the most intelligent breed out there plus they are very kids friendly, and its plain fooling around as you can see he could have ripped that kid to shereds if he wanted but its pure play.

  • What a beautiful dog :-)

  • @Nightingalea

    Thank you!

  • @arbooz2000

cute dog and the boy too <3 very cute the boy has haircolour like hs dog great ;)

    youre welocome :D

  • AW so cute!

  • my god my dog weighs a measly 20-25 pounds and she would have bit me HARD right away if I tried that with her! You have a good dog!

  • @luvmydobiesmokey

    Smokey looks good!

  • Dogs : the only creature on earth that loves you more than himself.

Breed means nothing - this is lovely lol.

  • can someone list the following breeds in order of ferocity. im doing research on the social behaviors of dogs in and out of hostile environments (abuse vs non-abuse) and I dont know where to start. i dont think Dogs are naturally aggressive when born and raised together; but i could be wrong as you see with animals raised in captivity or to fight

    husky

    doberman

    afghan

    german shepherd

    bulldog

    wrottweiler

    mastiff

    pittbull

  • that kid is brave :D

  • My GSP does that sneeze thing when he gets over excited too. I'd love to know why? Do they do it on purpose(calming signal) or is it just a physical thing to do with the way they breathe?

  • @antipepperpot

Good question...Dobies tend to sneeze a lot when they are playing around, wrinkling their noses.

  • @antipepperpot You named your Dobie GSP lol?

  • I couldn't help but laugh. I loved how your son copied your pup's every move. Love it. :)

  • @AlekonaKini

    Thank you!

  • To me, I am reminded of the kid from Where the Wild Things are haha.

  • 1:19 priceless

  • Kid should be in movie 300

  • Love this video, these two are great pals. Funny how they mimic each other, very sweet.

  • cute kid, cute dog....make sure at christmas time you give the kid and empty roll of wrapping paper to talk through. Every dog owner knows what I'm talking about.

  • lol... this is soo cool :)

  • iT'S A LITTLE CONGRESS DOWN THERE:)

  • LOL!!!! I interpret dog and it is saying, "DONT GO TO SLEEP! DONT GO TO SLEEP! DONT GO TO SLEEP!" LOL This is really a funny video.

  • Kid looks like Jake from Two and a Half Men lol

  • This reminds me of the scene in Lethal Weapon when Mel Gibson makes friends with a viscious dog!

  • This kid's body language is perfect - he really knows how to speak "dog".

  • @zannabarnowl

  • i do that to my dog :)

  • Cute kid. Nice dog.

  • @BorislavX

    Thank you.

  • DOBERMANS WERE MADE TO KILL AND MUTILATE. KEEP OUT OF THEM, IF NOT THEY WILL LICK YOUR FACE UNTIL YOU GIVE THEM A LITTLE LOVE.

  • LOL SO funny.

  • haha very cool. it was funny watching one get closer and then the other would back up every time.

  • Vicious animal! LOL

  • For some reason the little kid reminds me of Mowgli from the Jungle Book. LOL I have no idea why, but this is such a cute video. I always copy my dog and it bugs the heck out of her X3

  • I'm 42 years old and I look just like the kid when my Dobie and I are Playing "Ruff'n'and Tuff'nz'" Thats funny!

  • lol lovely, the dog must consider the boy as a friend indeed xD

  • @oceansoul02

Indeed; see Doberman vs Sony PSP.

  • Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that the dog is reading the boy's behaviour as aggressive and acts defensive. Usually when dogs play, they don't show their teeth so much.

  • @Jennyfisch

It is true that showing teeth can be a warning sign from a dog, but the context and the manner are just as important. A threatening gesture looks entirely differently - the nose is wrinkled up, canines exposed, and the growling is unmistakeably menacing. Body language is very different as well.

In this case, the Big One is clearly enjoying clowning around, like most Dobies. The tenor of his barking and growling, plus his body language, indicate he's having fun.

  • @arbooz2000

Good to know, thanks for replying. Beautiful dobie, btw.

  • @Jennyfisch

    Thank you.

To see how this dog feels about the boy please watch Doberman vs Sony PSP.

    :^)

  • @Jennyfisch Absolutely Jenny - the dog is having a good time. I see some on here with children and I can tell the dog is NOT happy even tho it is being cooperative. People need to look at what is happening with the dog's body language. Is the tail up? Are the ears up or back? Is the ruff (fur across the shoulders) up or down? Look at everything before you decide whether or not the dog is friendly or just putting up with a lot of garbage.

  • If you want a dog that is good with kids and likes to play, there is no better breed than a Doberman. I love them.

  • @Faeden

    Indeed.

  • @Faeden One of the most intelligent comments I've ever seen here on YouTube. They would never harm somebody from their family, no matter what happens.

  • how old is that doberman? he looks in really good shape!

  • @37Amtoads

Thank you. In this video he's three years old.

  • @arbooz2000 i'm just curious, can you tell me what his temperament & personality is like? my sis has rottweiler who isn't very obedient or loyal & is pretty stubborn. i don't really like his temperament & i just want to compare the doberman's temperament to the rott's. just wanted your own personal opinion :) thanks

  • @37Amtoads

Dobies are very powerful and strong-willed dogs, so training and socializing are crucial.

Properly trained Dobie is very affectionate, sweet and endlessly loyal. His intelligence rivals most humans' ... ;-) You can teach him to do anything.

You'll also need to spend a lot of time with him - Dobies hate being away from their owners; for that reason they are called "Velcro" dogs.

Owning a Doberman requires serious commitment and responsibility, but it is endlessly rewarding.

  • this kid just reminded me of my good old days ..

  • If the dog is having fun, how come he isn't wagging his tail?

  • wow! this doberman is very pretty! my sister got a rottweiler & i've been researching the dobe. when i compared the two, (rott & dobe) i wish she'd had gotten the doberman instead. if i will ever have to get a dog when i grow up, dobe will be my first choice. they look soooo much smarter too! :) & entertaining!

  • what a nice move haaa i love the trick

  • what a nice move haaa

  • read the tail and the eyes

  • OMG this sooooo reminds me of when I was about this young guys age doing the same thing to my doberman!!!!

  • Love your dobe! I've always wanted one and still plan on getting one once I get out of this apt and buy my first home. I have a question though; I'd like to keep my doberman inside most of the time. Are these animals big shedders or simply "too nasty" to be indoors? Example, my brother recently got a german shepard that he wanted to keep inside, but as the dog got bigger he was just too slobbery, shedded badly, and rambunctious to keep indoors. Thanks

  • @jmw61587

    Thank you.

Dobermans ARE "inside" dogs. They need to be near the family at all times; so much so that they are often called "Velcro" dogs.

The rambunctiousness comes from their significant intellect and enormous energy - they get bored easily and need lots of exercise.

Your Dobie should definitely live indoors close to you, but make sure the pup regularly gets tired from running and is not left alone for long periods of time.

    Good luck!

  • @jmw61587 they're great both indoors and outdoors, the problem with dobees is that they have a lot of energy, so daily walks and exercises are a must, therwise they will tear up your furniture, but then again that's normal for any dog, either way dobees are AMAZING, INTELLIGENT creatures!

  • @jmw61587 Hey I seen your post, I have a dobe, and I can tell you first hand that compared to other dogs they really dont shed a lot. BUt I WARN YOU if your a couch potatoe and plan on just leavin the dog inside all day DONT GET one!! Dobermans have tons of energy and need to be walked MORE THAN THE AVERGAGE DOG. If you neglect this your dog will be miserable and bored and result to destoryin stuff for some entertainment.

  • @jmw61587 BUt if you can meet their exercise needs, they maybe the right fit for ya! JUs keep in mind they need to know your boss and as long as they see you as ruler of the house they will be the sweetest most devoted pet, and they'll keep you safe. I let mine know as a pup that I was the boss and he's NEVER growled at me or anyone in the family. We get compliments on how gentle he is. but with strangers he's all teeth and "mommy better like ya or your not gettin thru the door." lol.

  • I've watched this one so many times before commenting. I love it! I never expect The Big One to give up - his dignity and rank are at stake. lol! But, he's so full of love. Their communication and posturing is hilariously stubborn and so expressive. Thanks so much for sharing and making me laugh so hard. This has to be the funniest Doberman video on youtube. Dobes are so very much my favorite. One day again, hopefully in the not too distant future.

  • @bladeimm

Thank you . Just how much the Big One (his name is Caesar) loves the Kid can be seen in the Doberman vs Sony PSP video.

I truly appreciate your kind and thoughtful comments on all of my clips.

Perhaps not coincidentally, The Godfather happens to be one of my all-time favorites - with virtually every word of it by now committed to memory ... : ^ )

  • @arbooz2000 Thank you. The pleasure is truly mine. The film, now the trilogy, has been like part of our family for literally generations and quoted frequently among my closest friends as well. :-P

  • lol thats so loud

  • Hahaha! The dobie's really funny when he has his head tilted on the ground! Such a nice dog. Although personally, I couldn't stand all that barking. xD

  • jeez i'd be scared it'd just bite my face off

  • @paintednaomi Wasn't it obvious it was a playful dog with no malice in him?

  • i like dat boy he aint never sceard
