Can this run all 8 drives in raid 5 over a single esata cable? Or do you need both connected?

Bought this one today, running it with 8 x 2TB Hard Disk Drives in combine mode which means see 8 HDDs showing on Windows Manager. I can hear fan sound but HDDs are running very quite... Instead running it on provided eSATA card, it is connect to eSATA Express card on my laptop computer.

it says upto 1tb but u can instal 1.5tb
