yea I have a 3-speed Prizm (same car as a corolla), and its uber loud on the highway. Im surprised the engine can handle that many RPM's going 75-80mph constantly.
well, you know, I figure the more of life that I document, the less I'll wish I hadn't missed out on recording later, you know? besides, who knows, maybe I can start a trend on YouTube? :)
We've never kept or driven a car long enough to reach that milestone. Last year we bought a new 2007 Corolla based on their good reputation, so, maybe in a few years we'll see it hit 100,000.
ya, you really can't go wrong with a Corolla (or anything Toyota for that matter)... if you take care of them they'll last well over 200-250k miles and still drive like new cars. thanks for the comment!
Be sure to record the milestone of 238,857 miles. Then you can say that your car has officially traversed the same distance as Earth is from the moon.
haha ya, my car's pretty good at telling me waay in advance that I should fill up soon (usually from the point I see the E button light up I have between 30-35mi left before I'm literally empty)... :)
very carefully, lol... I pretty much held the camera close to the steering wheel and hoped that I was able to keep everything in frame while I wasn't looking :).
mine is about to hit the same haha...ill upload a vid if I can.

There is a guy pushing 400,000 miles on his toyota yarris. just search, he has a 100k 150k 200k 300k and 350k video i think.
but 100k miles on a 02 in 08 is nothing. your car is just broken in as long as you take good care of it.

hey man what kind of tranny do u have?
dude8370 2 years ago
it's a 5-speed automatic... I'd like to eventually buy a car with a manual transmission, but for now I'm more than happy with my Corolla.

i didn't even know they made a 5-spd tranny for that generation? I thought it was either a 3-spd/4spd auto tranny or 5-spd manual?
dude8370 2 years ago
good call, it's actually a 4-speed (not sure why I said 5)... my Dad's is a 3-speed, and you can definitely feel the difference.
