Really? Head down? 1:31 into it is a CLEAR review that his head was up and saw Kaleta the entire time. I watched the game on tv and I thought the hit was legit. Can you imagine how exciting the games would be if every team had five players like Kaleta. Say what you want about him, he does deliver big hits. The only beef I would have with him is the fact that he wears a face shield, and he should be more willing to answer the bell, if he is challenged after one of his hits.
And you can't say he didn't, I checked frame by frame multiple times, and you can not see it clearly. Secondly, you can not see where his elbow is, but with the follow through it appears to have been placed much higher than the waist.

I was at the game and saw the hit live and WOW what a hit! First, I will say this about Sabres fans, most of us are quite knowledgeable about hockey. That being said, to those who think Kaleta is dirty, get over it, he delivers clean hard hits about 99% of the time. I watched the game on tv and I thought the hit was legit. Can you imagine how exciting the games would be if every team had five players like Kaleta. Say what you want about him, he does deliver big hits. The only beef I would have with him is the fact that he wears a face shield, and he should be more willing to answer the bell, if he is challenged after one of his hits.

And you can't say he didn't, I checked frame by frame multiple times, and you can not see it clearly. Secondly, you can not see where his elbow is, but with the follow through it appears to have been placed much higher than the waist.

I watched Prucha on the Rangers for 4 years & his biggest problem was he always got hit like this, kid keeps his head down way to much. That being said, Kaleta is a punk & will get his 1 day.

1.) Feet left the ice AFTER the hit as a result of the momentum of the hit itself

I was at the game and saw the hit live and WOW what a hit! First, I will say this about Sabres fans, most of us are quite knowledgeable about hockey. That being said, to those who think Kaleta is dirty, get over it, he delivers clean hard hits about 99% of the time. That being said, He HAS thrown a dirty hit or two but those are the minority for him. Lastly I'll say that literally every person in the crowd rose to its feet to give Kaleta a standing O after that hit including myself. Go Pat Go!

I was there and I was standing and cheering. I looked around and I was the only one standing at first. I think the crowd was put to sleep by the first period of boring play. Great hit and it woke up the crowd and both teams.
