  • awesome!

  • This song is vey hard to sing...great performance..God bless you robert..

  • My all time Fav Palmer number!!

  • This is an everlasting song, but this version sounds weird... like theres 1 or 2 instruments outta tune

  • Miss you, mister...!!!

  • One of the greatest singers EVER. We miss you so much Robert (thanks for sharing this video!.)

  • You ought to know by now, Mr. Palmer, that you are simply fabulous...

  • People, People! It's called changing things up. & yes the tempo was more up beat. But nice for a fresh approach in a live performance...OKAY???!! : )

  • please keyword this video its very hard to find

  • Robert Palmer was THE MAN one of the BEST ever and still is !!! HE could do it all with style and class ! RIP - Really Miss Him !

  • This was back when Branford Marsalis was leading the Tonight Show Band, which he wasn't really into and eventually quit. But Branford's soprano sax lines sound quite nice here.

  • Robert Palmer's vocals are great live, but Leno's band really sucks bad. they ruined Robert's performance. Some Joker in Leno's band is Truly TONE DEAF. Talk about Outta Key.

  • My mother and I very love this song.

  • Great performance live!

  • This performance makes me cry tears of pure joy xx I still miss him so much x Just want to reach into the screen and touch him xx

  • @woodenspoonlover I FEEL THE SAME. YES OVERWELMING TEARS. HE WAS THE MAN. I MISS HIM.

  • Definitely one of his best songs, but there was something strange about the performance. Someone, or something, was out of tune??

  • This might have been his last appearance on the Tonight Show in the US - He was a semi regular when Leno hosted. I don't think he did "Tonight" in 1999 when the R&B album came out although he did do Letterman and Good Morning America.

  • Thanks for posting--love this song. Am I hearing things, or is the band really off? I'm also sorry the only thing Leno felt compelled to ask about was the "dancing goils", as Palmer would have called them. But that more people knew how incredibly versatile he was!

  • Just listening to this video for the first time...and YES the band is REALLY off! They sound nothing close to the original recording..and it's throwing Robert's great voice off a little..IMO...

Love the fact that he said he liked 'plus-size, (valuptious) women as opposed to the 'norm'. I'm a plus size girl..and it's very flattering to know that ROBERT PALMER liked us!!!!

  • @utubefanforever Yes, it's nice to imagine if Robert was with us still and he and I chanced to pass on the street, I'd get a second glance and perhaps a smile... web site alert! Go to robert palmer dot com Sign the guest book. Close your eyes and isten to a great radio interview. In the section In his own words.
