totally wrong both revolutions had nothing to do with each other, neither historical nor political..u cant compare Ben Ali with ur Shah, and u cant compare the An Nahda Party, which is a moderate party with iranian conservative government. These are two different shows. Just because the iranian government misuse Islam, doesnt mean that all islamic government are the same. An Nahda (Tunesia) is a moderate islamic party, like the turkish AKP, and turkey is the best example, that it works.

But when they really got the power they started to force the most brutal ( & of course wrong) interpretation of Islam!! I wish I could understand your conversation.I'm an Iranian woman (26), I had many friends with Islamic fate and actually I used to have it as well! But in Iran there are this group of very extreme Muslims who beat women to wear Hi-jab or prevent them to work in jobs they want!This is not from the culture, It is from the Islamic government!!
