  • looks pretty dangerous

  • thumbs up if u watched this knowing you weren't gonna make the milk

  • Jk

  • I literally thought the there was milk on the inside. How dumb I am

  • Wow! that looks good =9 ...never tried it tho

  • I wouldn't drink that. That's too rich to drink. That's mostly for cooking. If you want to just munch on a coconut it will be fine but limit what you eat or you go straight to the bathroom after awhile.

  • Great Video and love the song!

  • how many coconuts did it take to make that volume of milk? about how much water did you use? thx!!!

  • @MonkeySpecs301 I think there were 2-3 coconuts. Pour cold water as much as it covers grinded coconut.

  • I drank a can of coconut milk earlier this morning. I read online that it was heathly and stuff and i decided to get some. i felt fine for the first couple hours... until its laxative properties kicked in and shat all over my bed. it is 2:50pm right now and i can honestly say that i experienced the worst diarrhea of my adult life. i havent been able to get more than 15 feet from my washroom without being sent running back with severe fire hole. im not sure i can write all this withou... dam.

  • @yw000000 lol at fire hole.. but was the taste worth the flaming asshole?? hmm

  • You should save the coco water, and take the meat and make milk.

  • can i use the coconut water for making the milk instead of the normal water?

  • @Posseskairis coconut water from an old ripe and meat-thick coconut (the one we use for making the milk in the movie) is not healthy anymore, so we would not even suggest to drink it.

  • What does it taste like?

  • 13 people are far beyond dummies!

  • i just drink the water XD nasty

  • What can I use to get the coconut meat out, if I don't have the type of grinder that you all had in the video? Great Video by the way. Thank you.

  • @Nabiyah1 You can use an ordinary fine grater. Or better a blender/mixer.

  • that sharpened stick by that coconut tree is dangerous.....

"HEY! LETS GO PLAY BY THE COCONUT TREE!...

laaa lala la lala laaaa -*trips*- AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! DX"

  • was the water before the hot cup water, ordinary water???

  • @sonikue23 Yes, ordinary water.

  • oh man, bye bye coconut water ... what a shame.

  • @justagrl10 Not safe to consume the water from a dried coconut.

  • @sjackie1 that coconut just fell out of a tree .. I think you must be confused as to what coco nut water I'm referring to.

  • @justagrl10 Sorry, I think I should explain what i mean by a 'dry' coconut. lol, we call the coconut he used a 'dry' coconut. if you notice, it's brown, unlike the ones in tree which were green in colour. those brown coconuts have been lying on the ground for quite sometime; it didn't just fall out of a tree. That water that spilled out of the coconut when he knocked it with the cutlass is not very safe to drink.

  • I was waiting for him to pierce a second hole in his pNis while pushing to coconut lol :<

  • Its better to do it this way instead of getting it from factories cause they add shit that is really not needed in the milk

  • Little Jerry Jeff plain' in the back ground ...

    Nice .

  • fuckin hippe lol :)

  • I LIKE COCONUTS MILK

  • Yea...one slip and....well I really don't wanna think about that...

  • try using a nutmilk bag. easier this way

  • omg u now how badly i want the guy using the stick connected to the ground to crack coconuts to impale his nuts with it

  • it's really for dummies on how to making coconut milk ... they should have use the coconut water instead of hot water :D

  • epic smile at the end

  • thanks a lot guys, i just made 2 big glasses of coconut milk and it was amazing

and is the best method to break the coconut with the machete, even if i used a knife

i used to the coconut juice and i put a 3/4 of a glass, milk, and 1/2 glass of hot water and bland it cause i don„t have that machine :)), and the end was delicious

    you are great man

  • you should watch how the natives in hawaii do it, it's much easier and better results

  • that guy is lucky to still have his fingers.

  • you miss and that pole goes right up your asshole

  • you are a dummy. you need the water to make good coconut milk

  • you need the water in the coconut to make the milk. this video is bullshit

  • that man is just an accident waiting to happen

  • wow she laughed :p

  • thats right Natalievy...what an idiot.. good music though

  • What does coconut milk from a fresh coconut taste like? I have had one coconut before and it was just water... and that did not taste so good. I tried eating the "meat" which is more like concrete shavings and I did not find that too pleasing either. Does the milk make it taste any better?

  • @Jerrid3 Hell Ya! I just made some mature coconut milk tonight. cut the meat from the shell and chop alittle take 4 cups warm water and blend about 5 min and strain with cheescloth or a strainer with your hands.then cool .its awesome.way better that a can or the carton stuff.if you like pudding or yogurt consistancy use a young thai coconut and some of the water its easier but i dont think it taste much better the young is a sweeter water though.

  • @jmohno

Yea, after posting on some coconut videos, I have found out that I had a mature coconut... the water and shavings did not taste too good to me. I am going to try a young coconut next time I get the chance.

  • @Jerrid3 The 'water' you found inside the coconut was actually coconut water, coconut milk is when you take the coconut water and mix it with the coconut milk, and blend it together.

  • what is the music? I like it

  • Any slip there and he will be a Human Ball Kebab

  • Looks like Bird poo!

  • AHHHH SO MANY COCONUTS!!!!! <3

  • I like the cracking sound it makes when they try to open it

  • Comment removed

  • That's cool.

  • thats dirty fingers milk not coconot milk lol

  • the taste is better.. lol.. nothing is better than a fresh coconut milk lol...

  • Thankyou!

  • One of these days you will be without one of your fingers.

  • @Safet or nuts....

  • lol we have cool coconut machine here in south east asia. so much easier.. lol

  • how does this compare to store bought coconut milk? are the processes that companys use to make coconut milk as simple as the one showed in this video? how about the taste?

  • I remember seeing a little boy do that on Sesame Street a looooong time ago!

  • It was great that someone took the time to record and post this video on youtube.

Thanks for the upload, I was able to show my daughter how coconut milk is made.

  • It's not 50 CENTS WHERE I LIVE.

  • DAMN i wish i lived at ur house

  • A coconut cost 50 cents from a supermarket rofl

  • @ratazenga that's cheap, I buy it for way more then a dollar at walmart super market

  • its 2 euros where I live

  • The reason I gave this one star:

The title says "for dummies" yet you proceed to use methods that can easily escalate to injury. The two methods I am referring to: the pole in the ground, with the coconut in the groin area, and the use of a machete on the coconut WHILE IT'S IN THE HAND.

  • Before you start judging people's good intention, you should think a bit.

  • I thought it over pretty well, and I stand beside my point.

  • dude, you may not have the greatest sense of humour, but still... you're right.

  • LMAO!!! I didnt even think about that, but youre right!.

    -Tko

  • In all seriousness I have seen this done before. He was using the back of the machete. They should have made that clear... and also shown methods of removing the husk without that bamboo ground spear... and most ppl are not going to have those graters either. So yeah.. they fell a little short with the "For Dummies" part

    -Tko

  • i want a coconut

  • hiya, correct me if im wrong pls but i think u just made a coconut cream and nt a milk??? i wouldnt know frm experience cos i've neva done it b4 but otha youtube vids (bush craft...) saysu need to repeat da process again 4da milk..... wb

  • Nice one... eays as that! :)

  • Hillbilly

  • i bought a coconut here in oklahoma lol it was old as heck and tasted like $#!t lol

  • where can you buy that coconut grater and how much it cost? thanks

  • i like this song.... wich is this???

    can you tell me???

    excellent video... Thanks

  • That`s how we do it back in Guyana.Holla

  • for the next time get a machete and start slicing the sides tahst how you open coconut dominican style lol

  • thank you! :-)

  • Oh yeah...I break coconut shell "red neck" style... Once I've wooshed down the juice, I put the coconut in a plastic bag and smash it on cement floor (basement or balcony) or on sidewalk if you're a real red neck person. lol ... It works!

  • I just hammer a large nail in the 3 holes then drain it in a glass. LOVE coconut.

  • how could he waste the coco juice like that, it's the best part!!

  • @natalievy only in young coconuts

  • @natalievy Thats just water

  • @natalievy thats co the juice from old brown coconuts are sour compared to the young green ones

  • @natalievy if the coconut juice isn`t very fresh,it isn`t safe for consumation.....and the smell is just retarded.

  • @sonikue23 lol you're retarded

  • @sonikue23 how on earth do you describe a smell as 'retarded'..ponders

  • @natalievy its just water dumb ass

  • @newjerseyjustin its not just water, it has loads of electrolytes

  • sweet!! rock on, coconut milk! yeah!

  • ew man thoso are rotten coconuts

  • i can assure you that those coconuts just have an older shell. please do not be mean.

  • no i am not being mean am serious, there is a big different between the green big coconut and this. to me it looks rotten, older = rotten. old = change in taste. see what i mean. it may change the taste.

  • To make coconut oil from coconut milk, just slow cooking the coconut milk until the coconut milk turn into oil.

  • coconut oil is just the meat of the coconut. it can be applied as a sun screen as well.

  • Anyone have a giant machete I can borrow?

  • does anyone know how to make coconut oil from coconut milk?

  • its just smushn up the coconut into like mash potatoes

  • lol the real juice in the coconut is already lost man, thats like the best part!!!

  • another wat (for ppl at home) is to take a chisle and put it on the holes near the top and bash it in

  • Nice video! Pretty crazy though! Watch out when husking you don't wanna to husk your nuts and cracking the coconut with the machete like that looked crazy. Nice video again!

  • i'd love to buy this hand machine. please, let me know where can i get that! thanks.

  • O_o I crossed my legs and winced... Not a task you would want to have a "slip" in doing :O

  • wow thanks you guys for the warning! it look like a lots of man power just to get the coconut open and the danger of that big knife and it seem like you have to have a expansive machine and it is just to much work.

  • sweet song, btw, very relaxing!

  • Awesome! Thanks for the upload!

  • nice, cool song as well

  • Does anyone know who sings this song? or the name of this song?

  • Will check my archives and will tell you. regards.

  • Yeah, please do that, I'd love to know it too.

    Thanks from Austria

    Mr.K

  • This is a song by Dennis Wolfe. I think from the album which is called "Just Another Gringo in Belize"

  • fuckin A...i knew there had to be some kind of tool/device to get out the meat easy and fast, instead of using a knife for 1/2 hour.i once pondered for a week to seriously invent one.

  • thanks.

  • mmm that looks good and fresh!

  • Thanks for the vid! But, there's an other way to open it that lets you keep all the thin milk that the guy spilled over the ground...

    Thanks!

  • very nice, this helped me with my project^^

  • The guy in the sandals, white pants, and black t-shirt should find another method in peeling coconut. I am worried about his balls.

  • @Dantinus

Well, I'll say that's a lot of empathy you have there. Worrying about someone else's balls?

  • @awsomenesscaleb Isn't that like a guy thing or something? Solidarity through ball-protection? rofl ...

  • @Dantinus well, thats called the darwin effect!

  • @Dantinus thats what 44 magnums are for... :P

  • @Dantinus u tubers are just hilarious. ya had me on the floor

  • I just buy a can of the stuff made in Thailand.

Call me lazy. I don't care. And I have coconut palms all around me.

  • What's the name of the hand driven tool u use to take out the coconut meat from the shell? :) Nice video :)

  • great video, thanks for the effort :)

  • Great video - huge effort though. Surely you mean 'For Dummies with a lot of time on their hands'!

  • I had no idea that the brown coconut is just the green coconut's inside part once it gets ripe. Great video!

  • WHAT?
