Moreover though, with the feminism of the current and subsequent generations of guys it's more likely that the girl is the one that acts in these inappropriate ways. I'm a girl, and while I love Bee and her music, I like this version more because of its two-sided element.

Personally, I think the original song was aimed at a particular jerk of a guy, but it can come across as unfairly categorising all guys as unfaithful callous people and all girls as innocent helpless victims, faithful to their men. If both sexes could see both sides (as this version suggests) there would be more 'better men/women' in the world.
