I can't believe that they actually edited this version to say "funky kicks going down in the city." I'm glad because if he said "shit" instead, I probably would have jumped off the top of a building. Ha!
Saw this show at the capital center in Maryland In 1976. The show kicked ASS. The band played for over 2 Hours with three encores. All you could see was pot smoke and hot women !!!!!!
The mid 1960s to mid 1970s hippies and hard redneck rockers sound hated the late 1970s and 1980s disco and new wave generation people music sound came around.
The late 1970s and 1980s generation music people hate the 1990s and 2000s generation of music people's sound.
The futuristic buzzing sound of this gives the whole new life to rock music. The redneck hippies the mid 60's to mid 70's and metalheads hated this new sound to rock groups and singers. The problem is human nature hates change. The 1930's and 1940's people hated when rock and roll arrived in the 1950s. The 1950s and early 1960s rock and roll people hated when the mid 1960s to mid 1970s hippies music came around.
Summer of 1977 just before Elvis died. Music actually sounded good again for the first in over 3 1/2 years. 1974 to early 1977 was not my cup of coffee with most every style of music being put out. Then came June 1977 then it really started to get interesting again for the first time since 1973.
I looked at your channel, great music! I even subcribed! Love the stuff you have there! Do you have any vinyl saved? My Steve Miller Band Book Of Dreams is on vinyl, still in great shape! Having a hard time finding the CD though. Have a great day!
@Christinakayrob ~Hi ~ I do have some vinyls that I saved, unfortunately not Book of Dreams : ( Thanks for subbing!! If I can find the CD somewhere, I'll let you know!!
