I'm well aware of George Carroll's work since he also had contact to Sanford Moeller for quite a while.
If you have any special sources that I do not have - or of which you think they might be useful and they are hard to get ... just throw anything at me :-) For that reason maybe let's continue our "exchange" by email?
Yes, it's a Cooperman. I'm interested in all sorts of traditional fife and drum music including the historic background and the European roots of it. Feel free to spread the link if you like it and stay tuned for more of this stuff.
Thanks for the comment and glad you like my playing! To be quite honest I do not really know the stick model - I just noticed that VF does not make that stick any more ... at least I could not find it in the catalogue. Stay tuned for more of fife and drum music!
Hey - glad you like my playing. This version will be part of a future playalong book project but I can send you a part of the music as a pdf. Spread the word about the clip! Saw your drum also - is it a Cooperman as well?
@clausondrums yup its my drum corp's drum not my own drum. I'v been looking at getting my own for some time now. That would be great if you could send me a part of the music. Let me know when you publish your book id love to buy a copy.
If I would be playing the drum using the sling I probably would. As the drum is on a snare stand I did not see any reason for traditional grip ...
