Initially turbos spin poorly on stand still even with revs playing. But when you force engine to work with a bit of load, they will ready to put much air into engine. That is why you saw such a quick acc.

Amazing launch but I don't like that whiny sound. I know the car isn't supercharged so that sounds like some sort of quirk in the transmission or perhaps that style of launching the car isn't good. Just a thought though, love these cars.

@relly15 ya it used to b like that now it just says 550i and on the side it says x drive and if u look at the side of this car it says x drive and it only did a burnout because he turned the traction off and also when its dry out the BMW x drive puts all of the power to the rear until it hits wet ground then it turns to all wheel drive .

The test fails because they have different tires and thats the most important thing on snow....you can look at all test where quattro is tested versus x drive...x drive almost wins because it is an real wheel drive based system and not an front wheel drive based system like Audis Quattro wich brings a lot of unharmony in the driving while its forcing the power to the back wheels.... Quattros are almost understearing which makes a no fun and b isnt fast

@stroky By the way it looked in the video i mentioned , almost all had winter tires and that X5 climbed too well to be considered with summer tires , while the 3-series had winter tires and they showed very clear and Audi HAD a tradition for understeering , because on the new ones there is more Nm on the back wheels on AWD ones , on the front ones is transfered when is needed .

@FreddyTangy No launch control. Key is to put the auto in Sport mode and DSC off, and then keep the brake depressed until aroudn 3000 rpms. The only wau I managed to do 4,8 s 0-100 km/h.
