Liquid Ocelot get's his ass kicked (because Ocelot was born at D-Day, as a child of the Sorrow and The Boss, he too is about 70 years old, so it's old man vs old man) by Snake but (i don't get this part but it's what Big Boss says) Ocelot dies not because he was beat up severly but through the Foxdie from Drebin. The same goes strangely enough for Eva, who is burned alive at the Volta but somehow dies thanks to Foxdie.

He got old because he was suposed to get only about 40 years old, to prevent him from falling into the wrong hands and be a long term weapon or agent for the enemy. His genes were altered to be that way, just like normal people genes are supposed to let a person grow up to be around 80, 90 maybe even 100 years old, normal dogs grow up to be around 15, Solid Snake around 40. That's why Naomi says in MGS 4 'it's your natural lifespan'

@Jaquan1254 i agree, i love Raiden but this was just a heartbreaking moment as he sinks and we hear the story we heard in MGS2 of how raiden and rose met, sad music, the flicker of the lights as they fade to black.

Then he turns up later with no friggin arms and a sword in his mouth lol, as happy as i was that he was alive the first time i played it. Looking back in terms of snakes final story and the series as a whole i think it would have been more fitting for him to die saving snake.
