Probably because McCreary blew his whistle at 58 seconds for them to break it up and, they continued to go for a little bit longer. It's bullshit. But when the ref says, "you boys have gone on long enough", that means break it up.

Yeah both of these guys have been getting in better fights lately, I used to dislike both of them but they're alright now. And Rexall place should turn off that music during the fights, it sounds terrible and ruins the atmosphere of the scrap

That was a pretty balanced fight, as an Oilers fan I'm very impressed with the way Stortini has been playing lately, he's starting to establish himself as a premier agitator, albeit he lost this one by a close margin.
