This song captures a beautiful innocence between a man & woman in love. "You & me are floating on a tidal wave", it's as if they're moving smoothly with the presence of each other. Like a rush of water in their souls. "You & me are drifting into outer space", they lose themselves in romantic thoughts of being together while staring into each other. There's a desperation to find fulfilling love at this point on this record, but there's only the notion of being lost in infatuation. Nothing else.

I don't hate coldplay's new stuff, but it's just disappointing at best for most of it. the gems of Mylo Xyloto (Paradise, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall) just don't come close to the gems of their earlier albums (This song, Yellow, Viva La Vida, Life in Technicolor II, Clocks, etc.) I hope they make a comeback, but with all the publicity they are getting, I don't think they ever will. At least we have all these great albums to look back to.

Chris Martin's voice is a God given gift, and one I'm so glad he's sharing with us all. The band are the most talented musicians I can think of, they're like a 21st Century Beatles (I know they were formed in '96 but they became known in the 2000s), their lyrics are thought provoking and somehow always relevant to the listener's thoughts, and the sound is beautiful and other worldly.

Coldplay are truly one of the greatest bands to have ever existed.

@DarkSpartan1017 Great bands. You should give radiohead and verve if you like coldplay, and for Floyd and The Beatles, you should try Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and Hendrix.
