The Hungarian-born composer and pianist Franz Liszt was strongly influenced by the music heard in his youth, particularly Hungarian folk music. These elements would eventually play a significant role in Liszt's compositions. Although the composer's works are highly varied in style, a relatively large part of his output is nationalistic in character, the Hungarian Rhapsodies being an ideal example.
keep listening to it over and over again. The truth is, they are enjoying themselves so much playing this with each other, one cannot help it to also enjoy this immensely when listening to it.
Amazing that you can still hear surprising renditions of what is, I dare say, something of an overplayed music piece. It sounds so much more authentic(?)/genuine(?) than the usual piano or big orchestras interpretations. Much more closer to the Hungarian music folk roots, I'd say. Really interesting interpretation. Thanks!
Bravissimo!
