Next year 2012...MY GOD, it's gonna be a difficult year because the metro subway system is gonna be in a very important phase of construction along with the expansion of streets, avenues, bridges and the construction of new roads. More than 5 billion dollars of investment in the improvement of transport system and upgrading of roads in the city!!! The only thing that relieves me is that by the year 2014 we are gonna have a more livable city!
I will move to Panma in a few years. I am not interested in living downtown, but in a suburb type local neighborhood. maybe something like Betania area, where locals live.

well I've been there for 4 straight years during the Summer and this year will be my 5th and I have to say from last year 2010 Panama's construction has improved soo much since i been there from 2007. Cant wait for 2011!!!

OK..in all modern cities happend situation like this...is normal because in 2008 Panama was growing so fast, is growing right now and it will continue growing because we have one of the must strong economy..second, you have to explain that the blocks in Panama are short, we cant have traffic light in every corner, because it will be a chaos..third..the executive hotel is located in a banking area is a busines area but at night there is no car and you dont mention this.
I have to say I was very, very dissapointed with Panama city. I've just visited there and WHAT THE FUCK. They didn't have water. I was in an apartment in Costa Deleste? something like that which I don't know exactly, in a friend's house and shit they had no water. Later, water did come out but they said it was dirty so people shouldn't drink them. We went to the mall and they had no water bottles there either. The streets weren't impressive either. Fuck. worst experience ever

This video is not entirely true. There are stop signs and traffic lights. Maybe the area from where this video is taking, he can't see the lights. However, am sure they have lights and stop signs; I'm from Panama. Now, the real issue is, do the drivers follow the traffic laws? well, unfortunately, many don't.
I never been in Panama, this vid is so funny to see that traffic conflicts because there arn´t any traffic light signals or even a stop sign, but please don´t be so agressive in your comments, I think if they live with this every day is bacause they can, is their culture, and it seems they didn´t want to change, so let they go with all this mess, not every day we can see those things.

I just came from there. No lights (I liked it). Full of POT HOLES (what do city officials do with the money they get from taxes?). Street signs in the suburbs invisible or not available. SAFETY was the main issue for us. Bars on the windows, doors and air conditioners, people asking/madly demaning! cash handouts from white tourists, 40 percent under poverty level.... It's just uncomfortable. Lots of cheaters. As I heard you can't trust police either, and it takes a forever for it to arrive.

I agree that panamanian drivers may not be exactly the most gentle in the world - I've been there, I know,But things have been changing, and there are now more traffic lights and other road signals. Also, when this video was made, a thing called the"Cinta Costera"was being constructed, which greatly helps the traffic situations of today, although it doesn't eliminate the issue completely. Things are improving, I encorauge you to come and check out some of the awesome touristic facilities.

Is there anything good about panama? Why don't you go back to perfect USA? I can tell you have not traveled enough. If you have, then you probably was asleep the whole time.

This video is not entirely true. There are stop signs and traffic lights. Maybe the area from where this video is taking, he can't see the lights. However, am sure they have lights and stop signs; I'm from Panama. Now, the real issue is, do the drivers follow the traffic laws? well, unfortunately, many don't.

I never been in Panama, this vid is so funny to see that traffic conflicts because there arn´t any traffic light signals or even a stop sign, but please don´t be so agressive in your comments, I think if they live with this every day is bacause they can, is their culture, and it seems they didn´t want to change, so let they go with all this mess, not every day we can see those things.

Is that Panamanians are happy people, very helpful and willing to help tourists, but also know how to treat the feet of those who are treated with arrogance, no doubt you wanted to spend the ready in Panama and for that I was wrong.

I just came from there. No lights (I liked it). Full of POT HOLES (what do city officials do with the money they get from taxes?). Street signs in the suburbs invisible or not available. SAFETY was the main issue for us. Bars on the windows, doors and air conditioners, people asking/madly demaning! cash handouts from white tourists, 40 percent under poverty level.... It's just uncomfortable. Lots of cheaters. As I heard you can't trust police either, and it takes a forever for it to arrive.

For a devoliping nation, the roads in Panama are kick ass, including the capital, and the city is among the top three safest cities in the region. So your first comment is a ridiculous comment.

this video is old........I agree the Cinta Costera has helped ..and now there are new stop signs and traffic lights being put thought out the city..making it a lot better...panama city is improving fast.....panama city in 2010 is a lot better....

I agree that panamanian drivers may not be exactly the most gentle in the world - I've been there, I know,But things have been changing, and there are now more traffic lights and other road signals. Also, when this video was made, a thing called the"Cinta Costera"was being constructed, which greatly helps the traffic situations of today, although it doesn't eliminate the issue completely. Things are improving, I encorauge you to come and check out some of the awesome touristic facilities.

I live in Panama and I've lived in DC... I have to vote Panama as worse! If you use your signal here, its looked on as a sign of weakness. Buses are called Diablo Rojos (Red Devils) for a reason and there are speed bumps on the highways.
