@rightwingpob If you knew anything about the history of this song NITWIT, Freddie was not up to singing that night because of a throat infection, but since he had to make an appearance instead of cancelling, he reluctantly had to lip sync the performance. There are enough live recordings showcasing his superior singing abilities that dimwitted people like you seem to miss out. That "Fat Bird" is one of the greatest female sopranos of all time. Go back to school and learn something for a change.

During the period of 1987-88, Freddie Mercury was writing songs for Monserrat Caballé and himself. And as Monserrat is spanish (and, as far as I can remember, born in Barcelona, Cataluñia), he decided to write a song about this city ; and consequently an hymn for the gain of the 1992 Olympic Games.
