how do i like get this to work im updating to the latest version right now how do i install it and on the website theres like 30 downloads for it which do i get
@MrMoralesProductions I'm assuming you mean you are updating to the latest version of COD4. The downloads on the website are listed in order, as such the latest official release is mp_obs299d_full. However, if you wish to be fully up to date you can join either OC1 or RTX servers to auto download the most recent files. Merge these with the configs from the 299d zip and you will be up to date. Then, run it like any other mod - put files on server, put everything excluding configs on redirect
@Sidisek You need to use stalker stance (escape>help) and follow ur target within close proximity for ~10 seconds (until icon lights up). Then before they get out of range you must go in very close and tap the stance special button. Easy to do on campers.
@Sidisek Knife an enemy from behind, and you will get his skin when using that stance. You can then either tap the stance special to drop the skin at will, or hold the use key to burst out of it. Phasing and large falls will also make the skin drop off. If icon isn't lit you have dropped the skin. It allows you to take enough damage to be killed before dropping off, hence meatshield. @planetary109 Never heard of the BCT server, but if you provide us PB screenshots or PBBans links, we can permanently ban them from all up to date versions of the mod via a Melon Ban.
@Hypercam2vids Sounds like @planetary109 is saying that the guys on your server are using hacks...it is possible they have learnt how to play the game though :P
@Snakelet Hmm won't be surprised. I play on the KF Obscurity server, and a kid named BCT Assassin was promoting his clan's server, yet he was wallhacking. Tracing obscurities through walls and super far away.
Also aswell it is the latest version of obs. Oh, and nice video, it works. I am now vey tempted to try some of these, but might be hard when you have groups of trigger happy people shooting everywhere, will be pressing alot of buttons and can be quite confusing. But i suppose it will be easy to get used to. Nice Vid!
@Snakelet, I play on the Obscurity mod but i find the field of view is at 60 or 65 and the gun takes up half the screen. Its annoying and i wanted to change it. I opened the console and put in "/cg_fov 80" or 85 i cant remember. But nothing changed, the fov remained the same. Every other server i play on cod4, the field of view is great, apart from obs, how can i change it and does everyone have this problem? Thanks
@HunterXpert Correct :P You can use taunts to perform special abilities and multiply your score when you kill someone. In this instance, any wounded players in range when Die! is used will cause them to go POP and give you x2 the points for the kill (also splats blood on everyones' screen who are within range)
@Snakelet Yeah, i know, ive done it before and it is very fun to do, also i luke 2 taunt before i will evter a room to kill some 1 and freak them out.(ive gotten people to spray and teamkill b4 XD)
@HunterXpert You should try out "Turn Around" taunt then. Run in, stand behind them and tautn them....they will drop their gun, then if you knife them before they pick it up, x2 score bonus :P
@aJIexJIox :P Best I've seen with a warp was when I lured a guy in with tank, followed by a friendly nade. I had tank so I survived, the guy that followed was on ground gutted so he got blown up, then the nade thrower came through and got ganked. It was fairly hectic, but pretty awesome.
Will there be a MW3 Obs mod, or is that impossible?
